One of the fine restaurants in the Memphis area. We had a prior reservation on Friday night, and we were there on time. It was casual and informal. The interior was sleek and modern looking with an implicit old charm. The service was a bit slow. There were other big groups in other tables. We started with some semolina crusted fried seafood bowl as appetizer. There was calamari, anchovies, and something else too ( but no shrimp) – everything was well seasoned, and all coated with semolina dust and deep fried with some lemony after taste. It was superb. We had some Italian club soda and a non alcoholic drink named honey! This was fabulous and was paired great that fried goody. I would highly recommend. Moving on, in the main course my friend got orzo and I got some Atlantic prawns in a garlicky- wine reduction broth. That was super aromatic and tasty. They have excellent wine collection too- make sure to ask for recommendation for the best pairing. Next was dessert, and this was the highlight of the entire dinner time. I got an affogato and my friend ordered some chocolate ganache topped chocolate hazelnut cake. That was terrific with some best dark chocolate in it. The affogato was great too. House made vanilla gelato was decent and the espresso coffee was fine too. Overall our experience was absolutely great and I highly recommend the place.

For a restaurant at this price point, there are some high expectations and unfortunately Bari misses them.

One of the absolute best restaurants in Memphis. Exquisite Italian wine selections. The food is absolutely amazing. Jason Severs is a gifted chef.

It was good food and nice decor and atmosphere. I did not have reservations but was still able to get a table and great service.

I brought some out of town friends here who were visiting for a conference. I had never been here, which would normally be a bad idea. I have found a new favorite restaurant in Memphis. I think we all loved the mussels and the cheeses, but I also loved the fava beans and the scallops were amazing! Everyone left happy. I will be back!

Fabulous menu of smaller dishes that are delectable. A simple romaine salad followed by any pasta or other dish is perfect. It also has a calm and soothing ambiance. I may fly back to Memphis for more!!

Not a great atmosphere but good food. There’s a green octopus tentacle on the west wall that feels like your are in a daycare and a weird, tacky green curtain thing on the strange kitchen entrance. Touch lamps instead of candle light and uncomfortable cafeteria type chairs. Service is slow and inattentive with phrases like, “we take the whole order at once bc we r full and prepare everything to order.” They weren’t close to being full and no they don’t. Calamari app was good but salty. Zucchini app is good but small. Muscle app was fantastic and enough for 4. Cheese choices were delish but less than 1 ounce for 4 ppl. Meat choices were very generous. Bread service is embarrassing w a 2 inch piece of bread. Carbonara was great but cod was not. Side potatoes and side cauliflower were wonderful. Afogato should be served in a glass not a cafeteria soup bowl. Wine was delish except vin santo Chianti. Overall we would go back for the food but in hopes that they change some of the decor and seating and service.

The food was prepared perfectly and tasted amazing. Would highly recommend coming here. Nice atmosphere although a bit loud.

Nice atmosphere, modern yet traditional. The menu was reasonably priced and I tried the soup of the day with a cabonara. The taste of the dishes has an influence of french and was well prepared. With that said, it may not be of your liking if you are expecting more Americanized food.I like it generally and will visit again if I am in the area.

The food was good, service was attentive and prompt. The atmosphere is… strange. I don’t know if it was the low pile industrial carpet, walking through the crowded bar to get to the dining room, or the cheap, plain, and uncomfortable chairs that did it for me or a combination of it all, but I know what this building was like before this place moved into it, and I sincerely liked the old location better AND they could have made some simple choices to make the atmosphere match the quality of the food and service.
