First of all, we’ve passed by this place so many times it doesn’t make sense. Every time we go to North Myrtle Beach, we stop by the Food Lion and get things for the condo. This time we decided to stop by Barefoot Bistro and let me tell you!… I am so glad that we did! The night we decided to stop by, there was a one man band there that was pretty good and he sang some of the best oldies and classics. ️

Definitely a gem off of the beaten path. Everything we ordered was amazing and tasted as if it was homemade, well actually better! Our server was a sweetheart and was very polite and attentive. Kids options were better than expected as well.

We arrived at 430 and our two guests came about 8 min later. Our server brought our drinks but after our guests arrived it was over 20 min before she ever came back and there was no one else there. After that it was getting a little busy and we couldn’t find our sever to order dinner. Finally flagged someone down and placed our order of two flat bread pizzas, a shrimp sandwich and a Special. After a bit she came back and said they were out of shrimp sandwich so we ordered a chicken sandwich with special sauce. From there it took over 45 min for our meal to come out. Several other tables around us that had came in well after us had received their meals and one had even finished eating. After the food arrived we had for the special sauce for the chicken as it was missing. My wife asked for a second glass of wine and we finally had to ask two more times before someone else finally brought it. We had to ask several times as well for water. The waitress did say something about having to bring in another cook but not sure what that had to with our order considering we should have been the first order submitted. The waitress had asked us when we first got there if we had been there before and I said it was our first trip she said welcome and I’m sure you will be back. If this is the normal type of service I am pretty sure we won’t be back. We had watched the ads many times on Carolina AM and were excited to try it out but having to wait almost two hours for dinner and the service we received I doubt we will do a second trip. I will say the food was very good and the menu had many other items I would try but again it’s the terrible service that just kills all the good things

This was our second time there. We found out about it when they had a Jeep Meet-up there and had an awesome time and great food. Happen to be in the area and got a chance to try again. Their nightly specials are worth the drive!

Excellent service and even better food! This is our 2nd trip. The first time I had to try the chicken and waffles which were great. The chicken pot pie had great reviews from the rest of the family so we had 4 of those this time a 1 bottomless soup.

This is definitely a hidden gem that we stumbled upon. The food is made from scratch and is full of flavor. The service is one of a kind and the people are so friendly. We’ve ate here twice in our 11 day vacation and probably will again before we leave!

Not horrible not great. Service was good, but felt like we had to keep asking for things like a third silverware pack, or pepper. Had the Barefoot Brat. Too much bread for the sandwich. It tasted like it had been toasted, then sat for a bit so parts were very hard. Fries tasted like they had been sitting in the warmer for a bit. Cool and soft. Was not going order something else because it seemed to take a min to get food and i didnt want to wait again.Just not wowed enough for a another trip back.

This was by far the best meal I had while at the beach. We went on a Monday when the special was the meatloaf and it was delicious. Plenty of food and it was very reasonably priced. This place is a MUST when at the beach!! The service was great also!

I just happened to spot this restaurant when I came out of the nearby Food Lion. I stopped in and got a menu to check out the items. We decided to give it a try. What a Great Family styled restaurant with Daily Specials and an unique menu with a variety of items. We had a party of 5 that went late afternoon to try the daily special for $9.99 which is valid until 5 p.m. On Tuesday the special is Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Lima Beans, Fried Squash, Corn Bread, and a Cookie or Bread Pudding. I had the Fried Chicken and is was cooked to perfection. The side portions were huge and delicious as well. They are very flexible with substituting the sides if there is something else you prefer. I swapped the fried squash for mac and cheese. My wife had the chicken salad in a Jalapeno Cheddar wrap. a large portion with a side. She was highly complimentary of this item and very pleased with her choice. All members loved their food and were raving about the place and when they were coming back to try other items. Our server, Penny, was excellent. She was very friendly, personable, and efficient. She was very knowledgeable of the menu items and gave recommendations to our crew when requested. She recommended that we take a look at the Dessert/Bakery case which had a number of pies, cheese cakes, and cookies. My wife got a Pina Colada Cheese Cake to go. We will definitely be back to try the other daily specials as well as the other menu items. I Highly Recommend. UPDATE: 8/12/2021 – I have now tried every daily special on the menu (Meatloaf, Fried Chicken, Pork Chop, Turkey & Dressing, & Fried Fish). All were delicious. My favorite of the 5 items is the Fried Chicken. A new visit on 10/18/21. My wife had the Chicken Pot Pie. Huge portion with a lot of chicken with fresh baked pastry. I tried a few bites and it was delicious. I had the the Meatloaf special and it was great too.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality, quantity, and service. We have to give Barefoot Bistro five stars. We had the Friday Special – blackened fish and shrimp,fries, Cole slaw, and pudding. It was all excellent!
