WOW absolutely phenomenal food, drinks and service! The ambience was perfect. The desserts will leave you speechless and in a sweetness haze! Our waiter was Jason, he was AWESOMENESS in motion. He kept our glasses full and made some great recordings since this was our first visit! Ask for Jason during your visit he made our evening extra special

We did the tasting menu because the menu is complex and a little confusing. The tasting menu seemed to be a great way to let them pilot the menu, which turned out to be regretful. I am not a fan of steak houses, so I wasn’t having high hopes to start, but this isn’t a traditional steakhouse, so we gave it a try. This turned out to be a poor expansion of the bardea brand. The tasting menu is a decent variety. Half of the course may have been raw items. Before doing the tasting menu they didn’t ask if anyone had dietary restrictions and the first dish included kiwi seeds. An oversight on our part when eating but a mistake we are still paying for. The menu didn’t seem to flow from course to course. We had the deconstructed burger, which was (over)cooked. The meat was grilled tableside and most of the meet was still stuck to the stone. The wagu cooper sharp onion dish lacked salt, the cheese l overpowered the possibly tasty wagyu tartar. I was excited to see the corn dogs included in the tasting but the meat inside had separated from the corn dog and the breading was cold and soggy. The veal sliders was the 5th raw dish served with a warm shot of tomato soup. Duck confit bao buns were very bitter. Burned ends/ potato might have been my favorite part. But they cleared my plate when I was still eating them because I had gone to the bathroom. Steak was 4 different cuts. The person serving mumbled through the explanation. We were not sure what was presented but we were not able to chew most of it. And they took it away after we gave up on trying to chew it. The provided knife wasn’t able to saw through it. We watching the wood grill running all night. We saw people eating steak but hardly saw anything other than carrots, cabbages and a tomahawk steak go onto the grill over the 3 hour dinner. As a side note on the restrooms they have a basket with open maybe used toothpicks by the door. I’m not sure if they were nee toothpicks or used since non of them were individually wrapped and by the bathroom door. I’d they are new maybe it’s worth finding an individually wrapped product. If they are used…. Place a trash can by the door. On the plus side we didn’t need a tooth pick since the steak was so rubbery it wasn’t able to be chewed. As a side note we ordered a couple repeat drinks and they didn’t taste anything like what was previously order, but maybe a different bartender took over. At the end of the day…. If you like bardea food and drink… I suggest you dine at the original restaurant where they stick to their core competencies.

Everything was delicious from the appetizer all the way to the dessert but just know that you’re going to be paying a hefty price for great quality!

Hands down some of the best food I’ve ever had in the country. There is some seriously unique and creative food coming out of the kitchen here. The byob, elk meatballs, and mussel toast were out of this world. Everything was. Service was phenomenal as well. You don’t want to miss out trying this place.

We love Bardea but we had not had the opportunity to try Bardea Steak yet. We had high expectations going in and set were not disappointed. The place has great ambience. Inside is a combination of white brick and artwork. There is an outside section between the two restaurants that looks lovely. They have heat lamps, so there were people eating outside even though it was dark and 35 degrees out. The food was amazing. We had the house salad which was large and excellent. For dinner we ordered the Butcher’s Feast. It was six cuts of meat from six different varieties of cow. It came with various dipping sauces. We would highly recommend trying it at least once. For dessert we had meringue with berries, surrounded by a blood orange sauce, and a brand new apple tart with vanilla gelato. Both were outstanding. Bardea Steak is pricey, but you truly get what you pay for. If you are looking for a place for a special night out in Wilmington, this is an excellent choice!

Amazing flavor creation with all of the flavors melding and creating balanced experiences. Every dish was wonderful, cocktails were great, staff was friendly and their descriptions of the food were excellent. I will visit every time I am in the area.

Nothing about our visit was as we were expecting except for the amazing service. Special shout out to Amanda the hostess for all her above and beyond efforts to find the perfect table for us. The seafood tower was tremendous and the butcher block tasting menu took away the anxiety of selecting the right cuts from the dizzying list of options. Everything was perfect. Recommend.

Sat at the bar for late night drinks before closing and Jamie made probably the best mule I’ve had, and I’ve had at least a couple thousand mules in my time. While I gave no guidance on my likes and dislikes, she took on the challenge blindfolded, 1 arm behind her back, and all while fielding complaints from other patrons that her drinks were TOO good and they wanted her to dial it down. The mule she made was so good, I ordered another, or maybe 5………….. not sure who is counting, but I certainly couldn’t. Another bartender tried asking me what I wanted to drink, and I politely said – Jamie only. Thanks and cheers.

Bardea Steak is a shadow of its big brother Bardea Food and Drink. It is more expensive, lacks in complexity, the service somehow is not as good, and the flavors are not there, to the extend they should be. I would go to Bardea Food and Drink again, but I would never visit the Steakhouse.
