I thought Bar Louie atmosphere was nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Very spacious place. Customer service was not good. No one there communicates effectively. Our food was cooked fresh and came out hot but it wasn’t that great on flavor. The drinks were decent. Our server was new and didn’t know how to use the card reader machine. Somehow she charged my sister’s card twice with my payment and hers. Took them 30mins to figure that out. We asked for an accommodation but the manager who never came to our table to help our server or just Apologize for the uncorrected mistake said no. It’s connected to the Holiday Inn. We we’re visiting he for a funeral. This was our first stop I regretted it.

Friendly spot. Connected to a Holiday Inn. You’ll have a diverse crowd. Locals and Travelers. Staff as friendly as your neighborhood bar. Food just a friendly and good. My only suggestion would be maybe a deep clean of the bar. If you’re on the bar stools you’ll get a strong odor of bleach-water. I fully understand and appreciate the use of bleach, but it’s not controlling the bar flies / gnats. This won’t keep me away from the good food and good servers, but it might others.

Ordered two orders of loaded fries for carry-out. On the menu, it says 6.5 dollars for each. I got the bill and it’s 26.00… I ask why the discrepancy, the bartender, says that if you order sides, it’s a different price without the meal. I’m hungry, so I agree and wait. Thirty minutes pass, and the bartender says that my order was made and disappeared. I wait while she starts the order over. Ten minutes later, I get my order and head to my room. I get to my room and open the container, and there are two orders of fries, but nothing loaded. I take it back to the bartender, who went and grabbed her manager. The manager refunded my money and offered free food. I declined the food and left. Even though this place was empty, the bartender was frazzled. She said that she would just “wing it” since things had changed after her two year break from the place. Bad service, terrible experience, not one that I would recommend.

Went here to have a drink on a Saturday night. There were two birthday parties. Good vibes, good food, some drinks okay, slot machines . Definitely a must if your staying at the hotel.

i went to bar louie while on a business trip and let me say . don was amazing. atmosphere felt very welcoming. drinks came out very fast he even brought us our drink while we were playing slots.he was super nice and i had a great time ! will be my go to bar when i come in town .

I’ve been coming to this location for a few years now. I decided to host my 26th birthday party at this location and the staff made everything so easy! The event coordinator Robyn was very helpful every step of the way! She was very accommodating and made me feel so special for my day! The manager Dom was awesome! He was also very nice and accommodating and checking in with the party periodically to make sure we had everything we needed! Our waitress Andy was the bees knees! She was efficient, fast, and thorough all while keeping a smile on her face the entire time! I had a very large party and they didn’t even break a sweat! We didn’t wait for a long time for anything, and we even had control of the music! The food was great, the drinks were flowing, and the vibes were great, even the guard at the front door had us laughing! All in all I will always give this location my business and appreciate everyone of these staff members who made my day so special!

Stopped in after visiting my parents who live in Oak Brook. Used to go to some of the originals in the city. Not the same food, pretty average. But, the problem I have is they add 18% “tip” to EVERY check. That’s not a tip, thats a tax. They can call it whatever they want but it’s ridiculous business practice. I went in by myself, just one person seated at the bar to have a sandwich and a couple beers . Bartender was good and nice enough. I’m guessing he gets this question a lot and not in a polite way like I asked , he looked embarrassed. When I asked him what this was, he told me they added it to every check because too many people go in there and apparently don’t tip enough which a tip, by the way happens to be optional it’s not obligatory. He mumbled something about a sign by the door. Never seen this done anywhere else. Again, one person at the bar ordering a sandwich and a couple beers. I wouldn’t step foot in that place again just out of principle. Nobody should put up with this BS. Maybe try attracting a better clientele so you won’t have to complain about how cheap they all are and others have to subsidize that.

The food and drinks were amazing!!! My first time trying a Grand Lemon drop. OMG, this bartender must have put a piece of heaven in that drink. I absolutely loved it. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive. Would definitely visit again.

I went in with my husband on Friday for happy hour, the service was so slow and terrible. The waitress kept forgetting our orders, even forgot a food item I ordered and at that point I just said I don’t want it anymore. She also charged an extra drink that I told her to take off because it was never ordered, and then to find out they automatically add 18% gratuity, which explains the bad service.
