We stopped in at the Bar-H tonight while spending the night in town on our way east. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The rolls were warm and delicious. We ordered onion rings and the portion was twice the size of most we’ve experienced and on point. Salad bar was fresh and the soup good. I had a ribeye while the wife had a sirloin.

I went here two separate nights. The first night I had the Cowboy Ribeye medium rare smothered in onions and mushrooms. It was cooked great, a little to much topping but that’s no big deal. I had access to the salad bar and made myself a plate. Lots of options including bowls of pinto beans and soup as well. The second night I had the Catfish flat with access to the salad bar as well. Both plates were cooked good. You can see the chefs in the kitchen the whole time cooking. Nobody lagged around and they worked hard. I am very impressed. For a steak house, the prices are par. You get Large portions as well. For a steak house I’m a smaller town this is very nice place to dine.

In a word terrible. The hostess was rude and seemed to be bothered to sit you where you would prefer to sit to eat ,the table that was just wiped down smelled like they used a dirty mop to clean the table and when I asked why the table smelled like that the waitress said and I quote they just cleaned it. Like I was being rude or something. People who are in customer service just can’t be bothered . Gross and wow we did not stay to try the food .

This place was clean, the staff were very nice. The salad bar was so so. The cowboy ribeye was fair. Tons of fat. Not a lot of flavor. The best was the fried squash! Loved it! But that was it. I am willing to give 4 stars because the staff was on top of it and nice. But the good really was a fail. Other then the squash.

The food was good. Service was a little slow, but there were maybe 2 waitress with several full tables. The salad bar was iceberg lettuce which I cannot eat so I tried some of the other salad offerings. My steak was decent but a little fatty.
