I had high hopes going into this restaurant and I don’t take pleasure in giving low ratings but I have to be completely honest. I chose this for a special occasion. They did great in acknowledging the occasion (a birthday) with candles on her dessert and a discount, as well. I saw that they had homemade pasta and a vegan option (gnocci) at that. So, I couldn’t pass it up. I’ll start with improvements that I feel should be made. All of the food (and everyone with me who are non-vegans agreed) needs salt and/or more flavor. But salt above all else. There was not anything so special about the food that makes me remember it or want to come back to get that specific dish again. Especially, for the price of the food. The thing that brings me back to a restaurant is the food. Now for the good. The waiter was patient with me with my vegan request which I know are annoying. We dined inside and the vibe is nice. There is an outdoor dining area that’s really cute, as well. Parking is your typical downtown parking which means you may be paying to park or walking. I hope they take this review and make some changes to improve the food to elevate the restaurant up to its potential.

Molly was a great waitress. She suggested we order appetizers to share and it was a brilliant idea. We ordered the beef manicotti which paired perfectly with our “dipping” appetizers because it was so small and saucy. The cocktails are dainty but delicious! Thank you for making our first experience at Bar Cicchetti so awesome.

This was really good. We’d been here once before but it had been a while. The draw then was some live music that performs upstairs. We had forgotten about that and what a nice treat. A 3 piece jazz band added some really nice ambiance to the evening.

I just want to preface this review by saying that I have placed orders via DoorDash, and have thoroughly enjoyed the food which is tough to do when you’re ordering takeout. So I planned to take my best friend and my mother to eat there before a show at the Civic Center last Saturday. I called shortly after the restaurant opened at 4 PM to make a reservation… They informed me that they typically don’t take reservations, but that they would put my name down for three people at 6:30 PM. We showed up on time and they did not have a table for us. Then upon further inquiry, the hostess discovered they had given my reservation to someone else… The hostess did nothing to try to rectify the situation by saying that we could have the next table available. In fact she almost dissuaded us from waiting for an available table, and even seated several parties in the 15 minutes we were there. I was saddened because I really wanted to share my experience with the food I knew would be even more excellent in person. We left and ate at Charleston’s instead. I don’t typically leave bad reviews but I had such a high expectation and I was excited about sharing it with two women in my life who ALSO appreciate excellent food. This experience makes me hesitant to order takeout or ever visit the restaurant again.

Cool place, nice atmosphere!! The food was pretty good. My wife had the shrimp dish. It was ok. I had the beef and cheese sandwich. The beef skewers were awesome as well!! It was great! Drinks were amazing. Our waiter was awesome. He had long hair, can’t think of his name. I’d return.

We love it here. The service is always great, and the ambiance is fantastic. Romantic spot! Tonight they played sweet soulful music like Etta James. The food was great as always. Love the potato jackets! Oh and don’t skip dessert here-the key lime creme brûlée was superb.
