My wife had been wanting to try BBQ’ing with My Honey for some time now. We arrived at about 3:15 on a Saturday afternoon and were seated promptly. There was a couple of occupied tables and some folks sitting at the bar so they weren’t busy. Our waitress took our orders in a timely fashion and the food arrived in about ten or fifteen minutes.

I came here for the first time on Thursday. It was a little awkward at first because I wasn’t sure where to sit. The staff said to come on in when I was lingering near the door. The food was delicious! I got the pulled pork dinner with baked beans and mac n cheese. I also got banana pudding for dessert. I’m glad that it was in a to-go container already because I took it home and enjoyed it later because I was full from my meal. I’m glad I decided to try this restaurant for myself even after reading mixed reviews about it.

We had a large party so keep this in mind…It took 1 1/2 hours. The staff were nice. I ordered grilled fish, FF and Mac and cheese. You get a lot of fish and FF. I split my meal into two. I ate the other half the next day. Also a 15 percent gratuity was added because of the amount of people in our party

Located in the old Lumberyard building, Bar B Quing With My Honey is a no-frills BBQ joint with a VERY expansive menu. Seriously, there’s something for everyone here…burgers, po-boys, seafood, and meats. We tried the ribs — very tender and slathered with sweet, tangy sauce. The sides were great as well, and everything seemed freshly prepared.

Their fried chicken was delicious!!! Crispy, seasoned skin on top of juicy chicken meat. BBQ beans, Mac & cheese & greens were also a hit!! But the star of my meal was the GRAPE KOOL-AID. My goodness, it was the best I’ve ever had.

This place is a must try if your looking for some barbeque. I ordered the rib dinner and it was the best I’ve ever gotten ANYwhere! I asked about the spiciness of the sauce because my daughter loves ribs, but not when their hot. The nice waitress informed me that they are not spicy and would be fine, but they can make them with some heat if you want. I’ve been to some others like Sonny’s, but they don’t have anything on this place!

We had ribs, baked beans and potato salad. The ribs were so tender that we could pull them right off the bone. We also got the fish and grits. Fish was nice and crispy, just the way I like it and the grits were creamy. Portion size was excellent and there was enough to have some to take home.

If you want someone who knows how to cook with the whole spice cabinet, go to Bar B Quing With My Honey. Literally the best ribs I’ve ever had in my life. Their mac and cheese reminds me of my great grandma’s so it gets a 10/10 from me. We’ve been 3 times now and have tried something new every time. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious.
