One of West Chester’s finest restaurants! Outdoor dining is the best, great friendly service, happy hour specials to many to mention, but the all you can eat mussels is a hit ! Great indoor dining and atmosphere.

Wanted to love this place because I have been following them on social media for a while. I thought for sure because the owners post such upbeat videos that I would be met with an upbeat staff and great energy. I stopped in for happy hour and sat at the bar and was never greeted and was met with stone faces. A menu was placed in front of me with no hello, how are you etc. It felt very cold. The staff looked to be very young. They just didn’t have the right personalities. Anyway, even though the initial impression wasn’t warm, I ordered some food. The food came out very prompt. Where the service lacked the meal actually made up for it which is why I didn’t give 1 star. The seared tuna melted in my mouth and was cooked to perfection. Had truffle fries which were good but nothing too special. I may try it again for the full dining experience but hopefully the waitress’s have better demeanors than the bartenders.

I’ve been coming to West Chester for years, but I finally had dinner at Bar Avalon over the Christmas Holiday. I was very impressed by the upscale yet casual vibe, and I was appreciative that the restaurant was able to accommodate my larger group. The food was fantastic and fresh. My only disappointment was how backed up the bar was, but I’m hoping it was just a slow night and not a regular issue! Took way too long to get drinks the night I was there.

My family and I went for lunch this weekend. Our server was very nice but the service was extremely slow. We had our two year old son with us which made it all the more difficult having to wait so long. Drinks took over 30 minutes and when our server came back she apologized for the wait, saying that it was because it was really crowded inside. The outside area wasn’t busy at all, and we noticed how long it was taking for everyone to get what they needed. It took forever for us to finally get our meals and my husband didn’t even get the right entree that he ordered. The server apologized again saying it was her mistake and took it off the bill. The wait for everything was over an hour, so he wasn’t about to ask for the correct entree. I ordered the lobster ravioli which was great and my son had the French toast with berries which he loved. If you are looking for a place to eat (especially if you have a small child with you) you may want to rethink stopping here.

I have been wanting to try this establishment for a long time. I happen to be off on Friday afternoon so I decided to have a cocktail with my wife we had to Greg cocktails and two appetizers and Ava was a Great server. I will definitely be back keep up the great work.

al fresco dining last night was awesome. Great from the jump. Hand crafted margarita, cauliflower app, beat sales with shrimp were all superb. Highly recommend

Everything is delicious. The pizza is a favorite…in all of Chesco. The mussels in the pizza make are amazing. My husbands new favorite is the gnocchi. Calamari is the best around.
