I was looking online for a Chinese food place with great reviews when I first heard of Bamboo House. It’s only been a few times that I’ve been able to stop in since I don’t live close, but whenever I’m in Ridgewood, I like to get something to eat here. It’s tough to find a truly great Chinese restaurant & this place lives up to the hype. The portions are generous, the dishes are saucy & flavorful & fresh. What really seals the deal for me though is the service; they are kind & friendly in a warm, sincere way. Bamboo House has been in business for a long time, for good reason. 10/10

I’m so confused as there are so many good reviews but not one person in our family of 5 thought the food was even decent. Maybe we picked a bad night. Rice was undercooked and tasted like chicken when it was “shrimp fried”. Lo mein was mush. Chicken was incredibly dry. It’s such a shame.

Great food that was fresh, wok made with Smokey authentic flavor, generous portions, gravy light not greasy, nothing old, I had house stir fried rice, excellent, the Singapore noodles were just a little heavy handed in the curry but I could adjust that at home, the chicken with broccoli were fresh, crispy veggies, and tender chicken.
