I was just there. This place may not look like the fanciest place. But the people were friendly and the double cheeseburger I had was HANDS DOWN the BEST burger I’ve had in a year. Gigantic patties cooked right, fresh ingredients, old school wax paper wrapping paper. I’ll absolutely be back. Best secret of Gastonia.

Y’all ever seen the little diner on TV where the food is delicious, everyone knows everyone and the old guys sit around gossiping? Now you can experience it for yourself. In Gastonia there are 2 Ball’s Grills that I’ve visited and believe me this is the only one you want to go to. I work 3rd shift and I can have a juicy cheeseburger (and crinkle cut fries) and still get my other people breakfast. My son raves about the Livermush which I was told comes fresh from S.C and is very tasty. I’ve only had Cheeseburgers (so far) and they have been delicious both days. I went yesterday and then again this morning to see if yesterday’s awesome food was just a happy accident but it was great again today. Don’t believe me, go see for yourself.

I ordered a gravey biscuit, but they called back to tell me they were out of biscuits. So I went with toast and hash browns. It was about 11:15, so I’m assuming breakfast was almost over. I got some burnt fries instead of hash browns. Idk if that was a substitute, but I wouldn’t have minded the fries if they weren’t burnt. I’ll stick to bologna, egg, and cheese on toast from now on.

Their fried squash and fried okra were delicious! Crinkle cut fries were hot and crispy. Hamburgers were juicy and flavorful! The employee told us that the beef in the burgers is never frozen. They make the patties up fresh, just like home cooking. The people who work there were warm and friendly. It made you feel like you were having dinner with family. Great food. Highly recommend it!

There used to be a guy that ran this place. He was great. Food was great. Service was great. Now, it seems chaotic and quality has definitely changed. There is a woman running this place now. She should stick to the books and let the loyal cashier run the shop.

very chaotic atmosphere. ordered an omelet and hash browns. took back because forgot the cheese and jalapenos on the hash browns. Then forgot about me and never brought me food back until I asked about it. they then had to remake everything. could be a good place but no order to it at all.

I’d definitely refrain from sending your female family members, friends or coworkers here! I came in a couple days ago have never left my name with the order until this day (just my first name mind you) and then a couple hours later I end up with a friend request from someone there, they then messaged me to confirm. I brought this up to the general manager I spoke to and she reassured me that he was married and it wasn’t like that. I then expressed to her how incredibly inappropriate this was.
