Husband loved his burger and fries. He very, very rarely likes anything that much. My burrata salad was okay. Peach cocktail was okay. Friendly and helpful staff. Wish service was a bit faster, but they were just opening so maybe not quite ready yet.

Oh, so delicious and over the top on price, but well worth it. Service was superb. I had crispy chicken Fettuccine the Fettuccine was curled in a bee hive shape 2 good size crispy chicken breasts top with a mild sauce on the side of the pasta. The salad was a lot couldn’t eat it all called a Baldwin salad. In fact, I brought home a breast and Fettuccine great left over for the next day meal. The dinner also has a homemade hot out of the oven roll. You could smell it coming to you, my girlfriend is a critic on foods for years she loves The Baldwin Saloon in The Dalles, Oregon. But this time her Prime Rib 14oz was a little different, she gave her meal a 4.9. Instead of a 5.0, because of the rib. She figured out it didn’t have Marinated Worshire sauce on it. The Prime ribs come only 14oz. She had a Lemon Drop Drink, I had a” Bee Kind” Shirley Temple. Tasted like Lemonade with Honey oh so gooood..Had 2. Dessert I took home Lemon Cheesecake had next day, enough for 2 to share with plenty left over. Of course, save up my pennies will be heading back on a Saturday night after 5p for our favorite meals. The Saloon inside is a conversational piece.❤ love the Saloon! See you soon!

It’s one of those 1 in every 20 restaurant experiences. There are still places like this, but they are far and few between. Super cool twenties decor, but what really takes the cake here is the quality and flavor of the amazing amazing amazing food. I mean holy cow their clam chowder is amongst the top 3 I’ve ever tried in the United States, the truffle oil French fries almost made me cancel my trip, the shaved prime rib Philly was to die for and even the burger was more like something you would get at the Ritz Carlton not The Dalles Oregon. Someone in the kitchen really knows how to cook. It will be the ONLY restaurant I eat at everytime I travel to Montana. Wish I wasn’t in a hurry to get back on the road because I can’t wait to try their dessert on my next pass through.

Elegant dining without the elegant price. Cute historic building in downtown Dalles, excellent service and very creative, unique food. Currently they are serving a reduced menu due to heat and older kitchen, but going back to full amazing menu on July 28th. We will definitely be back and highly recommend. I don’t think you could make a bad choice with anything on this menu. Clearly the chef puts heart and soul into these dishes with a team who truly support him. Well done.

Burgers were delicious. And that old western decor….. very nice. Cool story behind the lady in the art adorning the walls. The staff seem knowledgeable in regards to the buildings’ history. I was pleased, will return again.

The atmosphere is pretty fun–like an old saloon, with lots of paintings on the walls. The food was pretty tasty, and the portion sizes were ok for the prices. The appetizers seemed pretty small, especially for the price. Part way into our dinner, the piano started playing–it was a fun element, but definitely made the restaurant a lot louder and talking a bit harder. We discovered the pianist had to scale a ladder to a platform to play. That’s dedication! All in all, it was a pretty good experience.

Baldwin saloon is absolutely lovely. Great food, and lovely atmosphere. Sitting outside was perfect. The fried oysters are delicious. The mango cocktail is very nice. Their table bread is light fluffy bread balls. The desserts were delicious too.

We came in the middle of a long road trip. We were exhausted with asking folks to wear masks around us and not looking forward to asking another person to cover their nose. Not only did the staff at the Baldwin wear their masks properly but also served us the best meal eaten on this trip. Not a word about staffing shortages or supply issues…we were fed from a customized, changing menu and everything was superb.
