A nice whole in the wall restaurant in New Orleans. The food is delicious and flavorful, and the service is friendly. The vibe is very hipster with a lot of low lighting of incandescent light bulbs. Definitely a wonderful place to take someone out for a date or a special occasion. The price on the food is reasonable. Definitely a place to try out.

The food and service here are amazing! This had become my neighborhood bar because conversation with staff is easy and the cocktails are amazing. After you have brunch or dinner, you can finish your meal with a tasty Doberge cake slice or Dobites. Top 10 cocktail bar in New Orleans.

Dined at Bakery Bar on 6/23/2023. Walked into this little cozy bakery with a great first impression. We were greeted by the host promptly and taken to our seat followed by (2) glasses of water. However, after the interaction we waited quite a bit of time to be greeted by our server. He didn’t seem friendly by any means when he finally arrived. Food was completely mediocre. My other half ordered the Fried Chicken sandwich & I ordered the French toast. French Toast: presentation looked excellent but the quality of taste was extremely poor and dry. It was topped off with walnuts and strawberries. Fried Chicken Sandwich: My partner described his sandwich as Chicken Jerky, dry and burnt as shown in the photo attached. No sides were paired with the chicken sandwich. Aside from that the cocktails were great! I had the detonator and my partner had the espresso martini.

Our doberge cakes were outstanding for our wedding! We placed the order about 2 months in advance for 5 cakes. We ordered lemon, chocolate, and rainbow surprise. Since we weren’t from the area, we didn’t taste them beforehand but we weren’t worried. The cakes tasted delicious and we received great help from the owner by phone. During our wedding week, we tasted the cakes at Bakery Bar, where we were going to pick them up, and the service was outstanding. The employee who helped us that day was also there on our pick-up day and made sure we had everything we needed! The cakes were wrapped perfectly and ready for pick-up as soon as the location opened. Highly recommend for any occasion!

Burnt coffee and saccharine and insipid desserts. If you enjoy negligent service and mono dimensional desserts, this is your place. The desserts are extremely sweet so if you need a sugar fix and don’t care about what you’re eating, this is the place for you. At least, the water is good. Not worth the trip off the beaten path.

We’d been out walking for hours and saw this little gem on the map. We thought it was an odd combo so had to see it. Highly recommend! The desserts are amazing!!! They were serving brunch and have a full bar. Enjoy!

We’ve been fans of Bakery Bar for years – particularly of their boozy doberge cakes, their incredible array of cake bites, and their fun happy hour with savory treats and excellent cocktails.

Went here for the doberge cakes. The cake and icing inside was decent, though my bf and I weren’t big fans of the fondant. The fondant was too extra.

This was a fun little excursion! Kind of a boutique-y restaurant. We had the bone marrow and blackened tilapia tacos. The portions were generous so we had to take our cake (petit fours) to go. Our server was great, offering great suggestions.

Great happy hour! The Sazerac was as good as any you’ll find in the city. The burger is possibly the best I’ve had in the city. I will be conducting another round of testing but either way it is a great burger. The staff is awesome. Friendly, funny, entertaining. It’s also nice to hear a staff that appreciates their managers and the owner. It makes me want to support the place.
