Heard go stuff so i had to drive there. Brisket was great and sausage was good. Beans, potato salad and mac n cheese were on point. Coleslaw was a disappointment. Gotta get there early because most meats sold out. Then we have a winner on the pecan pie, it was great. Reminded me of childhood memories. Also well priced. Great job Baker Boys BBQ.

I have to give them 1 star and here is why. The staff is very unfriendly. It’s not just today it’s everytime we come here, it’s like that don’t want to be here. The food is very good , 5 stars, the attitude of the staff just takes you away. We think we will go else where for our BBQ delight. It’s over and over again. They just don’t make you feel welcome ! I will miss the yummy food.

Order dessert! Definitely recommend the banana pudding and the chocolate meringue pie. Order the raspberry pork glaze. It’s a nice surprise for your taste buds. I got the 3 meat plate and had enough for a second meal. Definitely worth the road trip from Houston.

Texas BBQ served with a smile. A plate of Baker Boys brisket and sides will fill you up for the day. The meat was super-tender with great flavor. No need for sauce. The sides did not disappoint- Mac n cheese and green beans were a hit. If you’re in Gonzales and in the mood for awesome Texas barbecue, Baker Boys is a great place to stop and feed the whole family.

Clean, friendly staff, easy access from the highway, great selection of different meats and sides. I wish I could say the BBQ is amazing. My partner had the chopped beef sandwich, which resembled a sloppy joe in texture, appearance and taste. Was it brisket at one time? Maybe chipped, but not chopped, over-sauced and over-salted. The bun could have been amazing if it had been warmed, or anything other than straight out of a bag. I had brisket and sausage. Brisket was juicy, tender, gorgeous smoke ring. I would have liked more flavor. The sausage likewise looked perfect, too salty for me. Hate to harp, but everything just needed a punch of flavor for our taste. Lots of locals there, they seemed to love everything!

Made a slight detour on the drive from Austin to Corpus for this excellent barbecue joint. The smoked turkey, pork loin, and pork steak were the standout dishes. Service was very friendly, and the two-meat combo is a good value. If they were just a half-hour closer to Austin, Baker Boys would easily enter my regular barbecue rotation.

Great bbq joint that all the locals seem to drop by for. Quality, great tasting brisket. Ribs were tender and smoked to perfection. The turkey was the best of the three. It had a smokey flavor and was very tender. Sides were acceptable. Chocolate pie was delicious and topped it off. Owner came to our table and asked how our meal was. Great service.

Found this bbq joint on our way to shiner…did not get pictures because I was super hungry and it was too good. Pork ribs were awesome..the sausage was good but in my opinion not the best I had. Would definitely stop here again.
