Tried this on a Saturday around 7:30 pm, first time visiting. No wait, but the restaurant was mostly full when we visited. I would say that it was on the tail of the Saturday rush.

Backyard Burgers is a small sports bar but has a lot to offer. The service is friendly and there are more than enough TVs so that every table has a great view of the football games.

This place is a hidden gem. Not only do they have the best burgers and fries I’ve had in a long time, but they sell Maine Root sodas on tap! I got the American burger. Lettuce, red onion, tomato, cheddar cheese and some sort of house burger sauce that was so tasty! I added ketchup and mustard but it wasn’t needed. My son got the Backyard burger which had cheddar cheese, bacon and BBQ sauce. He loves it. And the fries are cut super unique and have a nice crisp outside but a soft inside. Almost like an overstuffed potato chip. Overall great spot, friendly staff. Will definitely come back for more.

Great menu, good food, the service was mostly good. The gentle man who seated us wasn’t very personable. Then when the table next to us spilled a beer, they grabbed napkins from another table and then asked a young lady (who was wrapping silverware) for more, she handed them a few napkins and quickly replaced the ones they had taken from the table, not offeringvto help wipe up the spill. A few minutes later, a different server came out and noticed that the glass was empty. The customer said it had spilled, but they didn’t want another. She brought a full one and said it was in the house. She should have a training session for the others on how to provide great service!

I had the Hawaiian burger with spicy Jack and a pineapple. The ½ pound patty was juicy and flavorful. Tater-tots were crispy and well cooked. Chicken strips were moist on the inside dry-crispy on the outside. Our server was present and attentive. We’ll go back!

Despite a lot of mixed reviews, we decided to give this place a shot. Our initial impression was great. The restaurant has a great vibe, and the atmosphere was decent. It quickly went downhill after that. Our drinks contained zero alcohol, the french fries were some sort of spiral cut potato (overall not that bad, but not french fries to us), and the “party” size boneless tenders contained only 10 tenders for $22. That’s one small party!! The service wasn’t great, but we can’t blame the waitress as she looked to be working alone. The tenders were just okay. The food wasn’t horrible, but there are better options for burgers and wings. Sadly, the drinks were our biggest disappointment. To pay $22 for what turned out to be a “spritz of alcohol” with a lot of soda and ice, left us walking out shaking our heads. Overall, I don’t think we’ll be returning back here anytime soon.

Without question, worst dining experience I’ve had anywhere on the seacoast. Absolute shame. Always had pleasurable experiences at the other ‘Pine’ restaurants… But this place needs serious help. The service between 2p-3p on a Friday afternoon is horrible. The food (chicken sandwich) was inedible. Would have mentioned to the bartender but he was too busy ignoring us (almost to the point where I thought it was intentional for some unknown reason) to chat it up and laugh with friends at the bar. This was my second visit here, first time was just average and deserved another shot. This time was just an absolute horror show. Won’t be back and will share my experiences with others. If you can imagine a bad service experience in your mind… This would be it. The sandwich which was not able to be eaten, would be something worth letting slide if the service was there. I will never understand how the person behind the bar got that job.

If I could give 0 stars I would it’s an actual joke this place is still open. I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve been here a couple times in person and ordered out. I should’ve stopped the first time. First time the staff was rude and standoffish. Food wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worst and very expensive for what you get at a casual burger place. Second time I thought I’d give them another try since they were pretty new maybe they were doing a bit of trial and error. This time I called in pick up. Lady on the phone was rude and didn’t really answer any of my questions on wing flavors. The next time I doordashed some items including a burger and their pretzels the burger was AWFUL and the pretzels weren’t bad. I ordered the pretzels again because they seemed like a safe enough bet and sure enough this time they were literally rock hard I couldn’t even eat them. Waste of money. The last time I tried them to see if any of their items were good maybe I was picking their worst things so I ordered some boneless and side of fries which was 22$ for 8 wings and a handful of fries. I also ordered a black bean burger on a brioche bun added tomatoes. What I got felt like a prank. I received cold wings and fries. The wings were like rubber and the burger? Well they decided it was a good idea to put a tomato with a black bean patty and NOTHING ELSE in a box. I actually started laughing because I couldn’t believe my eyes. Luckily I ordered this off of doordash and got my money back but omg never again. They should really shut down.
