I eat here often for lunch before work and my food has always been the best no matter what I have ordered. The people are great and the cook is awesome. We have held our holiday party there for the past three years and it has been wonderful. They have a private party dj now on saturday nights that anyone can enjoy. If u want laughs, music and good food cone to this place u will get it for sure.

I’m from Texas and I just had the best steak I have ever had. This unassuming little dive was certainly worth the time. Perfect 12oz sirloin, potato and green beans. Very friendly staff and owner. If I’m ever through here again I will stop and have a meal.

This place is a hidden gem! The steak is honestly one of the best we have ever had. The owner-chef hand cuts his own meat and it is so tender and perfectly prepared. Everything is made from scratch…nothing purchased pre-prepared. Wonderful!!

Xmas cookie baking all day left me not wanting to fix dinner. Husband had seen an ad for Backroads steakhouse, and offered to buy me dinner out. Please understand, we live in the back of beyond, it is a 40 Mile drive to Nevada. WORTH IT!!!!! Thank You, T.J., for an incredibly well cooked meal! I will be back, and highly recommend your restaurant to everyone!!!

Hole in wall, or rather lil bar at the end of the road, yes keep going… The portions are huge! Chicken fried steak, surf & turf, shrimp salad, sirloin, potatoes & all! Food was just a tad too peppery for my taste but otherwise very well seasoned & outstanding, took half our meal home. Also big kudos to the fried mushrooms that are actual big mushrooms with real breading, not the usual mini button pre-made version. Fried zucchini (“fries”)- absolutely awesome too, so glad we tried both. We were meeting family in-between from Kansas City, & definitely not a bad place to eat. Prices are average, remember portions are big so not cheap & definitely worth it. Also a FYI to those that may care, I have not seen inside smoking in quite awhile, but it wasn’t too bad.

Pulling into this place, we were kind of excited to see what we found. It was a dive joint. But we were immediately seated and offered drinks. Selection somewhat limited at the bar but not bad for a small out of the way place. The menu selection was adequately varied with several tempting selections. We both settled on the night’s special, prime rib. It was excellent. Perfectly seasoned, deliciously tender and spot on doneness. Baked potatoes were fresh with plenty of real butter. Green beans were delicious. He loved the baked beans. Texas toast was toasted golden on both sides. The two of us ate and drank for under $51. Not bad. I took off one star as the au jus wasn’t hot and served in plastic cups which wouldn’t help hold any heat. But we will be back when we come this way again.

…. I ordered chicken fingers for appetizer and the chicken had no flavor at all… So I ordered a chilli baked potato n the chilli was nasty, aso I made another meal order chicken sandwich with side of fries. My fries we burnt this time my chicken was seasoned with garlic powder and it actually tasted decent.
