I ate inside. The food was good. The portions are smaller, like everywhere else these days. Ordering was a little difficult as I had to tell the cashier on which menu what I wanted was located. It was a new worker taking orders, so that is absolutely understandable. After being seated, the food arrived fairly quickly and was good. However, we were sitting a decent distance from the order counter, and the conversations of the staff were still way too loud. Nothing inappropriate, but very loud. When one worker arrived for their shift, it sounded like a surprise party when she came in the door. This usually wouldn’t bother me, but it was constant and honestly hard to have a conversation with the person sitting across from me. I hope it was a fluke. The food was fine. It was a nice change from other fast food burger places. I would try it again, at least through the drive-through.

Backyard Burger has some of the BEST burgers for a fast food chain. The Marion location has some of the friendliest staff of all fast food joints in this area. I love the added option of Turkey burgers, too.

Absolutely the worst sandwich that I have ever had. There was no flame grilled flavor to the meat and it actually looked and tasted as though it was boiled. I should of trusted my gut instinct when I said there weren’t many customers there. Lesson learned. Nasty!

Always look forward to stopping by on my way up north but this last time was honestly.. awful ! I hate having to write this because I ‘used’ to be able to always count on getting some delicious burgers… This last visit might very well be my last. The beef paties tasted like they’d been in a deep freezer for years and warmed up in a microwave. Just bad. They also either completely changed their recipes or idk what tbh because I ordered a pickle burger and A1 steak burger and there wasn’t a drop of A1 on the burger, they had actually used very sweet BBQ sauce..?? Instead… on not just the A1 burger but the pickle burger as well.. Was inedible, dogs had a nice snack ( I hope ) though.
