Great late lunch here. Steak shish tikka was excellent, hummus was super appetizer. Very nice young man took our orders, cooked and served our food and collected payment. He did all this in a polite and professional manner. Very clean, quiet dining experience.

Excellent traditional cuisine. Family restaurant. Not fancy just good food. Service is efficient and not very talkative. This is my second visit.

First time here. I don’t knowbthe actual names of the meals we ordered. But everything was very good. I ordered a chicken wrap w/ fries. My daughter ordered some kind of beef (flavor was outstanding) some kind if rice, to much cinnamon it. She said it tasted like Christmas. Lol… I tasted it and it kind of does! It was good, but didn’t want a lot of it. Pita bread wonderful.

I’m confused as to how this place has a current 4.4 rating. Have the people of JC never had authentic Mediterranean food?! The place is a dive, which wouldn’t be a problem if the food had been good. My utensils were dirty and my cup seemed to be unclean as well. There was only one person working, the owner I assume, and he acted like he couldn’t wait to close.

No frills space with simple decorations and fast food feel but the magic happens in the kitchen. Large menu with good variety of options. Great flavored stews. Real shawarma on a spit. lentil soup perfectly made. Sandwiches are prepared in pocket pita bread and pressed panini style. Main dishes come served with plain but flavorful basmati rice and other sides. A great oasis of middle eastern food with decent quality and flavor and value. Service is extremely friendly and accommodating, and prompt.

This was terrible. The Cordon Bleu Chicken was nothing more than an over-cooked, fried piece of chicken with a few pieces of cheap American cheese on top (when we specifically chose Swiss). The fries seemed to be microwaved. The Falafel Sandwich “on Pita” was actually wrapped in a Mexican style tortilla, not pita. All the vegetables were soggy and tomatoes were gritty and clearly past their prime. The falafel itself may have been fine if it wasn’t so rubbery. Impossible to chew. We didn’t even take more than a bite or two. Do not eat here. They clearly don’t know how to make Mediterranean food.

This little restaurant is a hidden jem. The dishes I chose came out quickly, were prepared well and the host couldn’t have been nicer. This place should not be overlooked. I was very happy with my lunch!

If you’ve never tried the dolmas on Fridays/Saturdays, you are missing out. Absolutely one of the best and comforting things I’ve ever eaten.
