Decent meal for the price if you do the drink upgrade, they give you a huge portion of rice versus the protein.

I think it’s one of the few Hong Kong-style restaurants in the Bay Area. Food and drink is definitely worth 5 stars. Especially Hainanese chicken rice and Hong Kong-style milk tea. Full of Hong Kong flavor. The service attitude of the staff is very good, and also tries to meet the needs of customers.

Hainan chicken is quite tender and well seasoned, very traditional and decent Chinese food. Didn’t expect it to be so good so I didn’t even take a picture of it. The rating for this place is definitely below what it should be.

I had Hainan chicken rice and lemon iced tea for lunch. The chicken rice was good and it went well with ginger oil. The lemon iced tea was good too and it’s only $2 when ordered with the entree. I took one star off because the chicken rice is missing the chicken broth and the traditional vinegar chili sauce that supposed to go with the traditional Hainan chicken rice.

Did not taste powdery at all. Their popular choices are visibly displayed. They have an assorted selection of food not to mention fried tofu, and a good selection of boba. You order your food, given a beeper, and pick up your order at the pickup station.

Beware, on my last 3 visits, I was not presented with the screen for selecting tips which I thought was a bit odd. Turns out, they will automatically select the tip for you after the fact.

The mango, strawberry, and black sugar milk drinks are great, though 100% sugar for the black sugar is way too sweet. They are also frequently out of regular boba.

Usually I go here get a popcorn chicken and Thai Ice tea with leche jelly and there’s no problem. Today though I went and they were basically out of everything. Thai tea was super watered down, wasn’t sweet and it was bitter. Also it took 10 minutes just for me to order. Plus the popcorn chicken was soggy and raw.

Most flavorless hainan chicken rice. Lemon ice tea tastes like Lipton

Tried Thai tea and Hong Kong tea. They don’t have milk substitutes and the tea itself was watered down
