This was my first time at Babs, and the food and atmosphere was fantastic! I appreciated having breakfast/brunch choices beyond the typical omelettes, basic eggs and bacon plates, and pancakes. I ordered the shakshuka, which was delicious, and paired it with coffee (also delicious…not your typical watered down breakfast spot coffee).

This place totally reminds me of the spots I used to hang out in Greenwich Village many years ago. Similar decor very similar personalities and just really great food. I had a kashary topped with two eggs over easy. The place has some interesting tchotchkes all around. The collection of snow gloves, who is really fun and interesting. The food is great, totally reminded me of being a New York, which I always love.

First time visiting for brunch today. The owner (Randy) was direct, but helpful, and suggested recommendations were on point. The matcha waffle special and sides were delicious. Loved the decor. Will definitely try to return during a future Atlanta trip.

Good location, but not worth the food, service or price! Interesting decor. They close at 2PM, we got there at 1:15 and the place was empty, so we expected to be in and out. We asked if the had any sandwich options as we were recommended for their breakfast/brunch (which MAY include sandwiches). In any case, they didn’t and it was fine. The host/server was distantly friendly, made some recommendations with a rushed tone. We certainly didn’t feel the “warmth of the south”. I get it, he wanted to clean up and go home. He had a dry approach, but you could tell he was trying to be friendly. We weren’t on the phone or rude, just had a baby with us and asked if they had sandwiches which appeared to have offended him in addition to being there 45 minutes before closing?

They got some interesting menu for breakfast. Service, waitress etc all were great. I really wanted to like this restaurant but the food was….. mediocre . Maybe lunch will be different?

I’ve visited Bab’s quite a few times and today, 8/27, I decided to bring my friends because of the good experiences I had before. Chris, our server, was a delight and the only reason I gave the service an extra star.

Had the Bayou of Shrimp, delicious. Nice vibe and Randy was a delight to talk to, will give you good advice on your orders. Need to come back and try a few other different dishes.

Come to be verbally abused, stay because the food is okay and the cocktails are beautiful. Plenty of paid parking available. I was able to find free street parking a couple blocks away at 11:30 am on a Sunday. I didn’t drink but the table across from me had blood orange mimosas and they were generously sized and beautiful. I heard them rave about them. I got the salmon bagel omelette for $20. Hardly any cream cheese but tasty nonetheless. The logistics are a little confusing because you order at the counter but then they check on you like you’re at a full-service restaurant. I know some people had tabs so I’m not sure if this is a good place to hang out and drink or not. Jelly was super old and more like a gummy. Staff was very nice except for the greeter. If I had been in New York or Minneapolis I don’t think his demeanor would have jarred me. But I have grown accustomed to people being fairly nice here lol. I assume he was trying to be funny and didn’t mean anything by it. He did ask me if I had any dietary restrictions so that’s nice they look out for you that way. Plenty of extras on the table, like butter, jelly, sweetener and hot sauce. I appreciate not having to ask for those things.
