Babcock’s is proudly Lombardian owned and operated (one of us is likely around here somewhere!). We’re housed in this historic limestone hotel building that was constructed in 1858, just before the Civil War. Many artifacts you see in the building are original.
We’re proud to offer comforting dishes made fresh daily using seasonal ingredients. No freezers (except for ice cream), no microwaves, no reservations and no TVs or wifi. Just good food, company & conversation (plus some interesting local history). We sincerely hope you love this true taste of Lombard!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. We loved the atmosphere, the menu, the prices, and the employees were all welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was very clean including the bathrooms which I did visit. The food was cooked exactly the way we requested, crispy bacon is a must for me, and we all enjoyed our meals. We actually enjoyed sitting viewing the menu, then going up to order, and paying. I feel this saves you time when you are ready to go you can just go and you don’t have to worry about waiting for your bill and paying. Overall, we recommend this restaurant and we will be back for sure whenever we are in the Lombard area. I did try the lilac shake and if you go give it a try!

Classic American dishes served in a historic building in downtown Lombard. There is a small bar that looks like it was originally there serving local craft beers. Cozy table seating inside along with one booth near the front and another near the back of the restaurant. There is outdoor seating on nice days. Available parking on the street.

What an amazing place! It is a quaint little spot with a fantastic menu. The meatloaf was killer and the pretzels were delicious. I didn’t get a burger or a quinoa bowl but they look unbelievable. Definitely will be ordering that next time. Tried talking a photo of the pretzels. That’s the best I could do . Kids menu had some good options and the fries I stole from the kids were very tasty homestyle.

We met up with an old friend for lunch here and it was the perfect spot. Our first impression when we stepped inside was that this was a cool space. It was a beautiful day outside so we ended up eating in their outdoor dining section. They explained we could order from inside and then they would bring the food out. They had some really unique items on the menu such as Buffalo cheese curds, new England shrimp rolls, pulled pork pie, as well as gourmet burgers, schnitzel flats, and a fried chicken sandwich which I had and would definitely recommend. The prices were very reasonable (I can only vouch for lunch) and we had a great experience overall. Will definitely make this one of our go to spots in Lombard.

I live in Lombard and have gone to Bobcock’s a few times. The food is modest but done well. They have wine and beer only, so adjust your expectation. But if you are a beer drinker, they have a good set of beers on their menu that would satisfy every taste. They have an outdoor seating and indoor. Their menu prices are decent and will not break the bank. So, do go and support this local business as it is certainly worth the visit.

I have to say first that I pretty much only like medium rare burgers and this restaurant doesn’t serve them that way. So it’s a little unfair to rate them on their burgers but that’s what I ordered. The server said it would be well done, but i decided to give it a try. I got their pub burger. It was ok. My wife had the ginger carrot soup, it was not to our liking. The hummus was ok. The fries were quite good. My son likes his burgers well done, so he was happy. The food came very fast. The service was great, the owner gave us a 3 minute history lesson on the building which was very informative.

Such a cute place, we picked because I wanted mashed potatoes. The chive mashed potatoes hit the spot, and the burgers are amazing also. We didn’t care for the cheese curds as much. Outside seating is nice, and indoor seating is super inviting.

Tasty delicious food. Staff was friendly and food came out quick. Recommend getting there early if you don’t want to wait. The blue cheese burger was very tasty and the fries were fresh.
