Since the day we started our Pop-Up, we maintained a high level of transparency with our customers. We built the Baba’s brand as a community and have gained some very loyal customers in the process.
The co-founder of Baba’s Chicken is a 27-year-old student who is currently studying Financial Accounting at the University of Riverside. This young man’s love for food was no random discovery, it was normal for him to spend countless hours scrolling through food pages for dinner inspiration. He has never had any formal culinary training by some fancy chef, he simply cooks for happy bellies.

I ordered the mild spicy chicken sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. It tasted great! I should have order medium spicy. But I didn’t want to sweat more in this summer heat. There is no air conditioner when we dined inside. We should have dined outside. Their ice machine ran out of ice. We had to wait about five minutes for them to put more ice. Someday we’ll be back.

First time at the food lab. Great location. Had a few restaurants inside. Baba’s called out to me. Stood in line. Ordered. Got the loaded Fries with chicken and sauces. It was messy but really good. They ask which spice level you want. There is communal seating. In other words tables set up between the restaurants and open seating for multiple parties to share the spaces from the different dining establishments.

I ordered their chicken sandwich combo, mild heat, with french fries. The portions are huge and the food is very filling. The spice level was nice. Although it was their mild level it still had a kick. The fries were hot and crunchy and they have a really good ranch.

Arrived in the courtyard area and waited in line for 25 min for three people in front of us. Put three orders of tenders and fries. After waiting an additional 40 min after order, the chicken was the worst and the fries were small, over cooked and food was not spiced correctly. There are no dipping sauces (which it really needed). Save your money, time, and taste buds; go anywhere else.

Good chicken with good spices. It’s heavy breaded so the spices are more in the breading. I got the loaded fries. They had slaw with chop chicken on it. They have a house sauce that was good with ranch also.

Think they must’ve mistaken our mild sandwich for the sadisticly hot sandwich wow. We couldn’t finish it because of the spice. Normally wonderful though. Rich for sure. Small servings are plenty with all the calories!!

One of the only hot chicken spots that rivals Dave’s. I got their hottest option, and I will say it is generally less spicy than other hot chicken places, but the seasoning is still plenty flavorful and the chicken they use is undoubtedly higher quality compared to a lot of other places.

The wait was VERY long. Keep that in mind if you plan to eat here during peak hours. We came on a Saturday early evening and it was busy busy busy. Great customer service cashiers are friendly and apparently completely endorse the food they sell, Christina and Kristeen were oh so patient with my indecisiveness.
