Such delicious food! I’m a huge fan of Thai food but Baan Siam has some dishes I haven’t seen in other Thai restaurants before.

Food overall its too sweet from the dishes that we ordered. BBQ pork noodle soup base it’s also on the sweet side. Pork it’s dry and doesn’t taste fresh. Service and atmosphere are good here. They don’t have regular papaya salad. Only fried style. Kind of disappointed. Appetizers were creative but missing the classic choice.

Baan Siam in Washington D.C. is an absolute gem! My dining experience here was nothing short of exceptional, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that transported me straight to the heart of Thailand.

Let me start off by saying that if you want your typical pad Thai, pad see ew, or drunken noodles — you won’t find it on their menu here. That’s quite a deliberate choice by this restaurant in steering itself away from being associated with basic street food fare. This place is quite elevated in the fact that they have menu items that are not commonly found in other Thai restaurants. Many of the items are quite nostalgic and it reminds me of home cooking by mom, grandma, and the aunties. This place has excellent Thai food and be fully aware that these dishes come with a DC price tag, expect to pay $20-25 per dish and also keep in mind that these entrees are meant to be shared “family style” so you shouldn’t be ordering something just for yourself.

Great food and good service. We were seated promptly when we arrived at the door. The host was attentive and polite. He took us to the table and immediately served a cold bottle of water.

Absolutely delicious and authentic. The best part of the menu is that it doesn’t serve pad thai! Come here and enjoy authentic Thai food. The Tom yum flavors are on point and dessert is delicious. For those who can’t handle spicy, most dishes can be cooked to different levels of spiciness. We devoured our meal before taking pictures of all the dishes. The wait staff is extremely friendly and quick to take care of any requests. Would definitely eat here again.

Upon stepping into Baan Siam, one can appreciate the inviting ambiance and the elegant decor, beautifully themed to exude a sense of Thai culture. It sets the stage for an authentic Thai dining experience that, unfortunately, falls short when it comes to the food itself.

I really love this place. Feel like I’m in Thailand when I was there. They have many traditional stuffs there to decorate. Besides, the foods were amazing! I would definitely go back again.
