DINE AT YOUR OWN RISK‼️ Pros: They accommodated our party of 10. The food was delicious and was served in a timely manner. Our bill for 4 people was $63. CONS: The service was shockingly HORRENDOUS. I bought an horchata drink for my 12 year old daughters. Not realizing that the table was extremely wobbly and unstable; their friend got up using the table to help herself up…and the table tipped. The horchata spilled. No broken glass. We started to clean it up ourselves. But Jenny, the supervisor on staff, was visibly not happy about having to clean it up. Then, when we kindly asked for a replacement horchata drink, she absolutely refused to give us one. My husband pleaded kindly for a replacement. Her response: “Our policy is no refills. It’s not our fault you spilled the drink.” My husband said: “Please, the table was unstable, and it tipped. We’d like to give your restaurant a good review.” She staunchedly refused. Then I kindly pleaded with her. I said: “Please, this is our first time here. The food is delicious, we would like to come back again. Please give us a replacement horchata.” Again, she refused, saying: “It’s not our fault your daughter spilled her drink. We don’t give refills.” I calmly and kindly said: “This isn’t a refill, it’s a replacement. It’s not our fault that your table is wobbly. It was an honest accident.” Jenny offered to give us a soda as replacement. I kindly said: “We bought an horchata, please provide an equivalent, my daughters don’t drink soda.” She was so aggravated and so annoyed. Jenny begrudgingly gave us an horchata replacement. If she could have thrown it at us, she would have. She was absolutely flaming livid. I’ve been to hundreds, if not thousands of restaurants in my lifetime; all over the world and all over the US. Never once have I ever been refused a replacement drink if it was accidentally spilled. Especially if the table was extremely wobbly. To the Azul owner, manager, supervisor, & staff: “Why risk and sacrifice a lifetime of business and endless referrals, for one $3 drink? Before we left the restaurant, we tried to make nice with Jenny, the supervisor. Our group of friends said goodbye & good night. We tried to thank her. One family gave her an additional $5 tip in addition to their original tip. Nope. Jenny was not having it. Jenny was extremely rude, her face was scowled, she didn’t even look up to acknowledge us. Our bill was $63, plus tip. Our friends bill was $48 plus tip, plus extra $5 tip. Our other friend’s bill was $62 with $15 tip. We gave them $173 worth of business plus generous tips. Jenny could not find it in her heart, based on customer service, return business and human kindness…to give 2 twelve year old little girls, a replacement horchata. We will NEVER come back. And we will NEVER recommend this place to our friends and family.

As passing travelers, I appreciated the warmth of the location and staff. The food was gentle and yet full flavor. We had the shrimp salad and a fish burrito which between two people was just the right amount of food. If in the area, one should stop by! Prices were reasonable, but parking can be challenging.

While visiting downtown Sac I was looking for food walking distance from my hotel. The location isn’t to big, they have self seating and live music. A performer played guitar and sang while we eat. I have asada and carnitas tacos. The asada was good. The carnitas were a little tougher than I am used to. I had a strawberry margarita on the rocks. It was great. You order at the counter and pay when you order.

Found this place while walking around and was not disappointed at all. The margaritas were delicious and full of flavor! The tostadas were the perfect size and the meat was well seasoned. I will definitely be back!

PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS! If we had deep dived into the comments, we would’ve known this restaurant has issues with customer service.

Niece took me to Azul for lunch and it was a success. Tasty shrimp tacos and sopes and a huge portion of nachos. They were all very delicious. Guy at the counter was very friendly and had a great big smile. The people dinning there were very friendly as well. They have a huge wall of different liquor and I was very tempted. Maybe next time. Yes I would go again.

We had a lovely dinner here on Thursday night, food and drinks were awesome and really really enjoyed the live music. Love the salsa bar, amazing chips. Service is friendly and prices reasonable. Popular place and for good reason, I would recommend to a friend.

Love their vegan tacos! They have amazing salsa. Ever since they got rid of their chip and salsa bar, the chip and salsa portions they hand out with the tacos are miniscule (anout 10 chips), and servers have almost always seemed annoyed when I ask for more chips and/or salsa. It stresses me out every time. One time the server said she’d have to ask up front if we could have another small bag of chips (we only had one and there were 2 of us there). I actually started having my young son order separately just so we can each get a tiny bag of chips since, even when there are 2 of us, they only offer one if I order our food in one order.

Tasty and priced right! I stumbled upon this place by accident and so glad I decided to try it out. I ordered the sopes from the appetizer menu and that includes 3 sopes , sopes are a corn flour shell that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside in shape of a little cup with a rim around the edge to keep all the ingredients inside. I chose Carnitas and it comes with refried beans on the bottom, then the meat of your choice and a mix of lettuce and purple onion, sour cream, cotija cheese and avocado. Highly recommend to try. All orders include chips and salsa. They have outdoor seating available, and a full bar. My order came out quick and staff was friendly.
