Cool international grocery spot with other assorted wares. I stopped in to purchase Sofrito for a chili base and noticed they had a kitchen. Mission accomplished on grocery item and tasty food. The Bistec Ranchero was spot on. Great portion size and price. Cashier was nice and said people often come for the tacos. I will be back to give them a try.

This place is authentic as you’re going to get with Mexican cuisine. The restaurant is in the back of a great little market with just about anything you’d expect in one. Legitimate, rice-based horchata is available amongst the drink options. Their food menu has everything you’d expect from traditional Mexican restaurant. I ordered steak tacos with onions and cilantro on corn tortillas as you’d get from a “street taco” vendor and absolutely loved them. The house salsa and Verde sauce were both excellent as well. The staff was friendly but unobtrusive. I almost don’t want to post this so I’m not fighting a crowd in the future! It’s a great hidden gem of a place for lunch.

Moving from California to Monroe I have experienced alot of canned/boxed rice and beans and over cooked tortillas. If you want some good Mexican food that reminds you of a all authentic taqueria this is the place to stop at. Best Mexican food in town!
