When it comes to food, I come from a very spoiled home with many amazing cooks. I have had some of the worlds best treats! Just in the last few years I have had to be gluten-free. This place is amazing! One of the best sandwiches ever. Seriously one of the best cinnamon rolls (my grandma would be proud) even when not considering that they are gluten free (and I got the frozen one not the fresh because they only make those on weekends). Super impressed with the very friendly people and beautifully clean place where everything is very well presented and it shows how much EVERYONE loves their food by how little they have left at the end of the day. They even prepared with extras in the freezer for the late comers like me so that I could still have what I came for!!! Totally recommend for a special trip to come as far as you have to (it’s an hour for me) and enjoy lunch and deserts and bring a cooler bag and take a bunch home to stock up for later!!! . Kentucky needs more of this! You will NOT be disappointed!

I met the owner’s husband thru another business in Nashville, and decided to drive up and check out the bakery! Awesome! I got the red velvet latte, two cupcakes and the bacon biscuit. Wow! I couldn’t tell they were gluten free. I loved the dècor and different choices throughout the shop, and getting to meet their children as well. What a great place!

If you are in the Bowling Green area Awaken Bakery is a must try! We stopped in for lunch and ended up getting a few take and bake items for later. Everything we ate from the mini frozen donuts to the pulled pork sandwich to Mac and cheese was fantastic. The bread is homemade everyday and you can tell. This bakery is completely gluten free, but even my non gluten free husband loved the food. The family that owns it are so friendly and have created such a beautiful space to enjoy their food and relax. We will definitely be back soon so we can try their lattes!

I will preface with “I don’t seek out gluten free anything,” but I do like to support local businesses. With that said, popped into this bakery that is located downtown just off the square. Close to closing time so not very many items in case to choose from. Owner was there with a warm smile and place was extremely clean. Mini cupcakes were good and icing was rich and creamy. Incredible. Simply incredible. I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2021. Even as someone familiar with gluten-free eating, it’s difficult to constantly explain myself and my dietary needs at restaurants. A friend and I drove an hour this morning from Hopkinsville Kentucky to go to the bakery. We were not disappointed! The cinnamon rolls are out of this world. We bought a lot of things to bring home and hopefully will get to enjoy over the next few days. The cinnamon churros are amazing as well. The owner was super friendly. We will be back!

What an absolute gem! We drove out of the way while traveling because everything looked delicious online and we were not disappointed! We all loved our sandwiches (grilled cheese, pizza toasties and chicken salad baguette). They were so melty and flavorful. We tried multiple desserts and while all were yummy the warm cinnamon roll was the favorite! We would absolutely detour off the freeway again to stop here!

Went today for both breakfast and then again for lunch and grabbed a whole bag of yummy stuff to take home. No exaggeration the best gluten free breads and desserts I’ve ever had. My boyfriend doesn’t have celiac and was also very impressed. Said he couldn’t even tell it was gluten free and loved his bacon biscuit at breakfast and his ham toastie sandwich at lunch. We enjoyed our coffee and dessert as well. Also really appreciated the use of local, fresh milk and eggs. Absolutely loved this place and highly recommend for those or with celiac diseases. It was such a nice change to be able to eat out without worrying about the chance of cross contamination.

Stopped for lunch. The ham and pepper jack sandwich was great! Grabbed a 6 pack of mini Belgian chocolate cupcakes. Best gluten free cupcake I’ve had since my wife had to go gluten free. A great little place to stop and visit. You won’t regret it.
