Wow. Just wow. One of the best breakfast I had in the US so far (we have been here 4 years now). I had hash browns, egg (medium overeasy) and avocado. I ask for very light cheese and they complied (kudos to the chef). It was really delicious, best hash browns I’ve had. My husband had a dish with egg, hash browns and sausage & gravy, also delicious. Only complaint was that it was so good, we both overate. My son had a simple egg, bacon and toast and my other 2 kids had an almond croissant and chocolate one. All super tasty. Friendly staff too!

Excellent place for lunch. Counter ordering and delivery to your table. Had the roast beef on sourdough with the fixing. Very good sandwich. Served with chips, they were very good also. Bread was very fresh. Very old building, floor shifts everytime someone walks by. Outside seating also

The best thing about Avenue Bread in Lynden is that there are no bad choices. Your best bet is to keep coming back and trying sandwiches until you find your new favorite!

I found this sweet restaurant on Instagram and stopped by after dropping off artwork for a juried show at the Jansen Art Center. The Turkey Sandwich was excellent, stuffed with wonderful protein and vegies on the best bread ever! The Butternut Squash Soup was the best I have had in a long time. Thank you to the sweet team member who sent a cinnamon role home with me as a treat…it made a fabulous breakfast with coffee this morning. I’ll be looking forward to my next meander into Lynden and will stop by again. PS. LOVED the local artwork on the wall too…thanks for supporting local artists!

Our second time coming to this wonderful restaurant. We love the extensive menu, and the fresh breads. Try the soups, they are so flavorful. Check or my sandwich, roast beef on rye. There is a great bookstore attached to the restaurant too.

This place is NOT over hyped! Visiting from Seattle, the Haystack was BOMB plus they have artisan bread for sale for $5 a loaf like come on.

I was in Lynden attending a silversmithing workshop. I knew I would likely not have a chance to have a meal break so I had a second breakfast at The Avenue Bread cafe. While it was a smaller breakfast, it hit the spot and kept me going for over 5 hours. Their freshly baked multigrain was fantastic, the eggs perfectly soft poached and the ham was thick and tasty (not overly salty like some places serve). Coffee was pretty good too! Lastly, prices were reasonable. I’d definitely go back!
