Austin’s food is great! Our service was great! The video is a take- out bowl of gumbo!! Sorry, I was unable to get pictures of the whole meal. However, everyone got a great plate of food. Hot and delicious. The table got seared tuna as an appetizer and it was delicious. I had fried green tomatoes for my meal and it was so good. We will be back!!

The steaks and lobster were exquisite. Loved the appetizer too! BUT service, not professional nor organized. And the screaming child made it fun at the end of our meal at least. Had a reservation and stood by the entrance for 10 minutes with 2 other double parties before anyone stopped to sit us. Host appears and sat us in waiting area for another 10. Get to table and wait 10 more for drinks and to order. At some point a guy not-our-waiter came to check on us then him and our waiter basically argued. The not-our-waiter was yelling and tapping guests on the shoulders. Our waiter was not great, but at least he wasn’t yelling and knew how to answer questions about the menu. The food was worth it, the service not at all.

I’ve eaten at Austin’s several times and have never been disappointed. The Fillet Mignon there is as good as any I’ve ever eaten and the sea food can match the steaks for flavor. Recently the owner refurbished the dining section with new tile floors. The dining area is much brighter now. I highly recommend you give Austin’s a try the next time you visit the New Orleans area.

From the time I walked through the door the atmosphere was warm and exciting. From the servers to the white shirts they all worked together like a well old machine. Piano man was holding it down by the bar with some great hits along with superb vocals. Then as the tone was set for a magnificent evening we were seated and treated as kings. The food actually made me grin from inside out and I left with the most pleasurable dining experience of my 46 years. Loved it and will definitely return and recommend to anyone I meet.

Usually love going to eat here. I made reservations for 630 and didn’t get seated till 7pm and had to have a different waiter than who I requested. Waiter was terrible had to ask for tea and water to be refilled. Had to ask for bread. This was my Anniversary celebration for my husband and I and I was very disappointed. Have never had an experience like this before. Eric is usually our waiter and that’s who we requested when I made the reservation but after waiting 30 minutes they said they weren’t sure when his tables would come open so we opted for first available table. Never again. I will always request Eric and wait for him. Waiter we had….. terrible.

My husband and I made a reservation for our anniversary. We were promptly sat. Appetizers were delicious. We both ordered the barbecue twin fillet. Absolutely delicious!. Our server was Chris and he was awesome. We will be back.

If there were 6 stars, this place would get it! The food was amazing!!! Hands down, best steak in town!. Service was delightful, and the ambiance is very calm, right down to the piano player. If you’re looking for a great date night or just a casual meal with friends, give Austin’s a try. You will not be disappointed.
