About Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria
Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor.
Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

Ordered a thin crust pizza and it was the worst pizza I’ve ever had! Bread was so nasty and inconsistent throughout the pizza. Edges were super hard and hard to eat. Center was greasy in some parts and dry in others, and hard. Have had Lou Malnatis before so I know this was horrendous. $36 for garbage. This is totally unacceptable.

We love “The Lou”, thin crust and usually add a small cheese pizza for the kids. Over-priced, however. I rated this 2 stars only because I can’t justify $40+ for thin-crust carry out, local or not 🙁

Great Chicago style deep dish pizza! This location is carry out/delivery only but I was staying in a hotel nearby so they gave me everything I needed. I’ve had Lou Malnati’s before so when I saw there was one nearby I didn’t even need to think about what we were having for dinner!

This is not a restaurant it is just to pick up your pizzas. And whatever else you order from Lou malnati’s. This place does have awesome deep dish. They have a cheese they have a pepperoni to have the sausage they have a spinach frozen pizza ready to go. Does it matter which one you want Elsa have salads and tiramisu ready to pick up as well.

First time ever coming here! Food was good! Boneless wings were delish and that ranch is very good! I made it home and noticed I got bone in wings instead of boneless wings. I called and spoke to the manager Patricia and she was very nice not only did she make another order fresh but also made it convenient for me and had the corrected order delivered but also refunded me. Now that is a great manager!

Wish I lived closer but the pizza been always delicious when uncut and hot. Just wish I didn’t have a 15-20 minute drive

I have ordered Lou Malnati’s pizza from the Geneva location since it opened, never ever had any problems with my order. I was so happy when the location opened on Orchard due to the delivery. I have had ordered from the Orchard location 3 times, and only one time was my pizza up to Lou Malnati’s standards. The first time, terrible, thought maybe it was miscommunication as the pizza, I’m assuming was sent half baked. Puddles of water on top, soggy all the way through and it was uncut, which is supposed to help keep the crust crispy. I’ve never ordered a half baked pizza. Today I receive my deep dish Lou, again, so much liquid on the top and SUPER SOGGY FLAT crust. I specifically requested a fully cooked, deep dish lou, uncut. It came uncut and was the correct type of pizza, pretty much it. I’m not sure if it’s half baked or what happened, I’m cooking it again. I will drive to Geneva to pick my pizza up from now on. That bottom crust is like dough and it’s flat! The other half of the pizza is cooking again in my oven.

This pizza was really bad. It’s like an overcooked cracker with some cheese on top. My dog loves pizza, he didn’t even like it. When I ordered thin crust I didn’t know it was gunna be an inedible thin board. I would have been better off getting a frozen pizza.

I wish I had taken pictures. $30 for a large deep dish that was undercooked, thin, WET, tasteless, and all pepperoni instead of half pepperoni that we ordered. This is not the first time that we’ve had a problem at THIS location. Never had an issue from Geneva.
