Live 2 state’s away. Closing on a family property nearby. On past visits, many years ago, I frequented this establishment … which I would rate highly back then. This time was was not a quick run-through / pickup. I sat out on the back deck for about 2 hours and had excellent service throughout. Long day on the closing of our family property, they allowed me to sit and finish the final paperwork for the day. Also directed me to local accommodations, as I was too beat to make the journey home (would of had to stop overnight anyway). The food was great as I always have remembered it. I rated the atmosphere high not because of a party atmosphere (I was there starting late lunch), but because they left me in peace to do paperwork / emails AND allowed me to be on that back deck with my dog. There was another group of people there that had their same sized dog with them. The two of them ended up settling down under the table and resting – not disturbing. That made a long day better.

Well, I didn’t want to say anything negative, but the day after eating there…was a very bad day. Garbage in, garbage out. My husband still has leftovers in the refrigerator…why? I don’t know! So the greeter, the waiter, the bartender and the cook were all one person….can this be the reason for possible cross contamination? I love the quaintness of the place but I’m not sure I’ll eat there again. Don’t judge me.

Went for an after-golf tournament reception on the patio. The atmosphere was great because of the people at the event. The bartender was not very pleasant. I asked for a specific drink, he stated that the liqueur was inside so I just looked at him, he didn’t budge to attempt to go get it so I changed my order and let it be. I sat at a table near the bar and could hear how he responded to the folks ordering their drinks – very short and curt! The taco “bar” set up for the event was unappealing. I assembled 2 beef tacos and I couldn’t get through the 2nd one. The beef was tasteless, there was no sour cream, and the salsa was also lacking flavor. Definitely not the place for tacos. Someone ordered wings and stated that they were decent.

The view and atmosphere is phenomenal. We ordered an enchilada plate with three enchiladas rice and beans. We sat on the patio and the service was just ok. We might have sent it back but the waitress didn’t come back soon enough.

honestly very disappointing! as someone who enjoys eating out at mexican restaurants, this one is by far the worst i’ve ever had. for starters, it is a mexicali type cuisine. if you want something close to the genuine thing i would go to either puerto vallarta in orange/milford or toritos in north haven.
