Had the trio appetizer with friends ( didn’t get a picture) but it was very good. Probably the best cheese sticks I’ve ever had! Enjoyed the grilled chicken salad for sure. ( minus tomatoes) The chicken was hot, the lettuce was fresh & the shell wasn’t greasy. My husband ordered the blue gill and a single fish taco. If ever back in that area we’d go back for sure!

Great family restaurant. The food came out hot and was well prepared. The fish dinner was a large portion and was tasty. Others in my party had shrimp and chicken. Very good service and recommend this place.

A classic little joint that carries a charm and the type of atmosphere you’d expect. Clean dining area that is separate from bar area, light classic rock music playing on the tv. A pretty broad menu, though a good portion of it is fried foods. Still, plenty to choose from, whether steak, chicken, seafood, comfort foods, or appetizers.

I came here after being featured on the local news. The food was good although I felt my particular dinner was a little overpriced for ($19 for a fish entree) this type of establishment. The particularly bad issue was the waitress’s abrupt attitude with me. I watched her interaction with others, and the issue was me. My husband also noticed it. She seemed rather annoyed. Twice. In one of those instances, I was actually trying to be of help when she raced with her arms full toward a table. I tried to move out of the way. She moved back and forth and asked me where I was going. She waited on numerous tables while we waited forever to pay our bill. They were short-staffed, but that was no excuse to treat me rudely and different from other guest for no obvious reason. I guess I didn’t have their smell.

My Sunday brunch at The Tavern was just to good not to mention. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted with warm friendly faces. I even seen an old friend. I felt so welcomed and comfortable.

The service and food was good. Nothing particularly special but that’s ok sometimes. We were hungry when we went in and full when we left. It did its job.

Best fish I’ve ever tasted. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection every time. I wake up thinking about grabbing a hand full of fish to stuff in my mouth, only to realize I hit the button on my alarm.

The blue hill is awesome and so is the “regular” fish…pollock, I think. The corn dip is a MUST! Yummy.
