This cafe should be a destination for anyone looking for a great chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, white gravy and choice of vegetable. The fried okra was so good I could have happily made a meal of it alone. Generous portions. I had a half order and took part of that home for supper.

I ordered the ribeye steak. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and seasoned well. We got the appetizer sampler. Very yummy unhealthy fried food! Husband really liked his shrimp scampi (it is only 10 shrimp no pasta) he said the shrimp was not over cooked and had good flavor. The kids meal came with a ton of food. Overall great food and a good atmosphere. I know the owners are running the grill and having to wait tables so sometimes it might be a a wait. We got there right at 5pm so we had no wait.

Chicken fried stake was awesome! Big as the plate! I had already ate about 1/4 of it in the pic. Wife had the open faced roast beef, she said it was really good. She brought home 1/2 of it! She had the peanut butter cream pie and it was fresh and good!

Oh boy, this took me right back to quintessential Kansas soul food and service. Country fried steak was copious and gray splattering tender, as to be expected. The onions rings are classic fried to perfection and to die for. Great place to be a Kansan, if only for a quick lunch

Home cooking at it’s finest! Just moved to the area and stopped unpacking to make it to town on time to grab a late lunch. This place has some great food and the portion sizes are perfect. I promise you won’t go home hungry. Cute little café right on main. Clean and the staff was great!
