If you want some seafood in a more upscale setting, try this place out. I wanted to have a lobster roll but they didn’t have any at the time. But that’s okay as I had Squid Ink Pasta instead and it was great. Also, try to come for Happy Hour as they have good deals.

Another 5 STAR dinner at Florian! Truly the best and hardest-working staff in New Haven work there. The energy from the Florian team, the cool atmosphere and -oh my- the menu always lifts my spirits and makes for a great dining experience. Our super friendly server, Erin, never stopped smiling and checking on us though she had tables upstairs and downstairs plus was bartending for her tables as well! Amazing! We were in awe watching her balance so many beautifully presented drinks and plates while marching up the stairs over and over flawlessly. Every time we go we leave happy, but last night was the first time I got the lobster roll. The lobster meat was overflowing the crisp buttery roll, fresh and done perfectly. Delicious! I need to go back for that again asap. My dinner-mates thoroughly enjoyed their menu selections too. Plus the delicate and delightful desserts we shared topped off our evening deliciously! Can’t wait to go back to Florian!

We celebrated Father’s Day at Florian yesterday for a quick bite. It was around noon and they were full at the street patio and the restaurant.Initially we wanted to sit outside, however between the traffic and flow of people moving throughout the entrance/exit we decided to eat indoors. Staff informed us that it would be several minutes for them to prepare a table. I can only describe the atmosphere as “organized chaos” when we walked through the restaurant to the second floor. We truly enjoyed our candid banter with the server. My father can be quite intimidating and often grumpy. She was quick on the dialogue and made us all laugh, including my father. Drink wise our server recommended the bloody Mary and mimosa carafe options, touching on the price discount.
