We were invited to this party to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Atelier Crenn in San Francisco is a culinary masterpiece that deserves every praise it receives. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was transported into a world of elegance and artistry. The minimalist decor created a serene atmosphere that perfectly complemented the dining experience to come.

An unforgettable experience that would last a lifetime. Service was fantastic, utensils provided were unique and helped with the ambiance of each meal. I was fortunate to have one of the best wine pairings with a tasting menu that I have ever had. I would highly recommend the wine pairing menu to go along with the tasting menu to complete each meal. It will enhance your tasting experience.

Probably one of the best culinary experiences in US. You truly get to experience the diversity of Californian cuisine with locally sourced ingredients.

The most exquisite wine pairing so far. Memorable dishes but didn’t get the typical 3* satisfaction.

PRO TIP: When you dine at Atelier Crenn, just make sure you are given all your courses. Clearly, they don’t seem to care if they don’t.

I was introduced to Dominique Crenn on CBS Sunday Morning in July 2020. After watching her interview, I ordered both of her books, The Rebel Chef and Metamorphosis of Taste, and knew that someday, I needed to experience her creativity and passion first hand.

We went there for our anniversary after being on waiting list for months. And it was worth it. Amazing service and food. My wife is a vegetarian and does not consume alcohol – but they were super attentive with every course to accommodate that. All interactions seemed genuinely cordial and welcoming. Deserves the 3 Michelin stars.

Atelier Crenn gets a lot of things right. The atmosphere is excellent, the food impeccably presented, the service friendly and knowledgeable. For my taste, however, the overall flavors were somewhat muted, such that I didn’t come away from the meal thinking any particular dish had wowed me.

Beautiful meal. Atelier Crenn serves a creative, ingredient-driven, technique-laden, tasting menu that showcases northern California’s bounty. The non-dairy non-meat stance that the chef has taken is mentioned but never “preached about”, which is welcome. Very nice, relaxed, California atmosphere with a colorful front of the house staff that adds to the experience with each one’s individual presentation style. Very well paced meal. Minor let down- the dessert “bites” do come off a little bit disjointed from the rest of the menu and are perhaps slightly less novel than the savory offerings. The sum of the portions is slightly on the smaller side, so do not expect one of menus that will “stuff you”. Very nice experience that manages to maintain something very San-Francisco in its vibe throughout. Strongly recommend.

Huge disappointment. I flew in with my daughter and son just to visit Michelin restaurants in the area. It was not worth the trip. Did not know in advance that it is non dairy and pescatarian. Presentation was nice, but flavors was not all that. Left hungry 4 hours later. The desserts were the saving grace of the whole night. Bartender was not the best. Both drinks could not be finished because the flavors were not good at all. Definitely not worth the money.
