Food is delicious! We are usually very happy with what we order. A couple of weeks ago, we ordered meals to take out and were disappointed to find we were given another’s order. I called and spoke to the owner who credited what we paid. A few days later, we ordered again and the owner was very nice, added some extras. The food is exceptional.

We went here to eat often when we lived in Zachary. Now when we return to visit family we try to eat here. It is still as good as I recall the first time we went so many years ago. The flaming pu pu plater is our all time favorite starter. I had the orange chicken special last time, but also like the garlic shrimp. Atmosphere and service are top notch.

Upon entering the restaurant we were directed to sit in a rickety old booth. Every time the person seated behind me moved, the back of the booth seat shoved me forward. The menu, like the restaurant, was old and tattered. There was only one server who was friendly and worked fast but looked disheveled dressed in old baggy clothing. Then the food arrived. The teriyaki beef was flavorless and so tough we had to use a pocket knife to cut it. The sesame chicken was an unappetizing almost black color with no discernible chicken. I tried cutting every rubbery piece looking for something that resembled chicken but it was mostly overcooked batter. The Asian Pearl (Zachary) was disappointing to put it nicely.

Had a wonderful Sunday dinner after church at the Asian Pearl! The hot and sour soup is the best I’ve ever tasted. Both my husband and I had delicious entrees that were beautifully presented. And our server, Echo, was personable and fun as well as great at taking care of us. Thanks Asian Pearl, for a great dining experience!

First timer and I ordered the beef and broccoli and sesame chicken with fried rice and crab Rangoon. Beef broccoli 2/10 tasted too much like gravy and the portions was really small. No sauce for the crab Rangoon which is what it really needed. Sesame chicken was burned and didn’t taste right also small portions. Okay service but wouldn’t return.

My church group meets here regularly. Ecco the server is excellent. The portions are large and food is delicious. My favorite is Egg Drop Soup snd No Strings Attached, which is a green bean & shrimp dish cooked in a Chinese sauce served with rice. The service is extremely fast and polite.
