I was walking around the Pruneyard shopping center again and came across the Asian Box restaurant. I got the Garden Box and it was pretty good – I prefer lighter fare with fresh vegetables and authentic flavors. The vegetables were very fresh and the curry had some decent heat but nothing crazy. The service was excellent and the food came out very quickly. I sat outside and did some people watching and was not disappointed (see the video).

Very friendly staff and they are friendly. We ordered kid menu with sauce on the side. They served with sauce on the shrimp but was able to remake it.

I went there to get food. I saw the promotion on a stand in the prune yard that said kids eat free on weekends. I thought great it’s Saturday we can do this. I walked in and they told me it’s on Sundays. I said that is not what the sign says. I showed him the sign. He said he could not honor it as the “system won’t allow it”. I left.

The green curry chicken box was excellent. Lots of chicken, curry was just the right level of spiciness. There were enough vegetables so that I felt I wasn’t getting short-changed, but not so much that they would have been the main part of the meal.

We ordered lunch for delivery and, unfortunately, there was an error in the preparation. The topping got put on the wrong bases, an error I can easily understand making during a very busy lunch rush. Unfortunately, my husband and I both have food allergies and sensitivities, so it was a real problem for us. I called the restaurant and asked to talk to the manager. Joanna was wonderful. She was very apologetic about the error and worked to set things right. Asian Box is my favorite place to order takeout from because the food isn’t just tasty, it’s also so healthy and they are so good about accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences. Thank you, Joanna, for taking care of us today. Asian Box remains my favorite takeout restaurant! 🙂

I have tried this place three times and it is a consistent disappoinmtent. Their curries are bland and the meat curries have about three small pieces of meat and cheap vegetables. The good thing is they are not very busy so they take your order quickly but they take about 15-20 minutes to prepare the food.
