I was pleasantly surprised to see that Cafe Artist has undergone a major renovation recently. The place looks fresh and modern, with new furniture, lighting and decor. The menu is still the same, which is great because I love their timeless food and drink already.. The staff is friendly and attentive, as always.

Love coming here after work to chill, have a few beers, and eat yummy food with friends and coworkers (: it’s been getting harder to get over here lately because I get off later now.. so sad ): Food is and always has been great (: I always end up over ordering because I want to eat everything hahahah! The staff is always super attentive and nice. They recently renovated, and it’s super clean and pretty now! Definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s craving Vietnamese food.

Divey restaurant feels. Food and service were great for me. I would come back here. The chicken and rice dish with soup was my favorite. The clams were yummy too.

Dont judge when you walk in. The customer service is good. People will be shouting and smoking inside but order anyways!

Live crawfish here is super fresh and the seasoning is on point! But my favorite by far has to be the Surfer Clams! The sauce and spices are like an explosion of flavor in your mouth! I could probably eat 3-5 plates of this to myself lol! If you like clams, this is the place in Garden Grove! Make sure to sit outside cause it does get super noisy inside to where you can’t hear one another.

This place is very old but good. I always have the crawfish here. It’s always good and they have lives ones very often. Don’t expect much service since they are always busy. It’s just nature of Quan Nhau. The beer are bottle, no draft. Would love to see the floor a little cleaner but either way I still come back time and time.

Can you say the word “hepatitis”? Well, that’s not the only thing you’ll contract when visiting this restaurant but a whole lot more. Food poisoning for a start, if you eat the food. There is nothing sanitary about this restaurant. Heads up! Watch where you sit, what you touch (hepatitis), what you eat, and how you breathe, because you could contract lung cancer as well from all the second-hand cigarette smoke; there is no indoor smoking policy because, after all, everyone is an artist, right? The female waitresses are slavish servants to the men who patronize this cafe, because the majority of the money they make comes from tips, not wages, and they’re too ignorant to realize that the owner is violating California labor laws by not paying them at least minimum wage and they can sue him. What else can I say? Oh, this place might be a secret meet up for other activities even more ‘artistic’ …

Hole in the wall restaurant but great selection if dishes especially for Vietnamese style eat and beer drinking. Every dishes we ordered were very tasty. Well, except for the alligator dish we ordered hardly had any gator meat in it. Just a few small slices and mostly sauteed with white onions, lemon grass and turmeric. Tasty but hardly any meat…not with the price in my humble opinion.
