The best authentic Italian food! Richie makes the best chicken cutlets I’ve ever had. We get at least a dozen every week. Their tuna, chicken and macaroni salads are amazing. Best sandwiches too!

BEST PLACE IN PUTNAM COUNTY! Your greeted by great staff with awesome funny personalities. Your guaranteed to have a convo and walk out laughing. Their food is delicious, both hot and cold! Home of the original Carmel Special! Definitely stop in and grab a sandwich or one of their hot specials of the day! They do catering as well, so if you have a celebration coming up, you won’t be disappointed with your choices. Sausage is to die for, and the owner daily makes fresh Mozzarella. All in all, you will not be disappointed when you stop in. Off I84 to exit 19 (Carmel) or you can get off exit 18 (lake Carmel). Hope this makes your decision easy when you visit this awesome town.

I love this place. If you haven’t tried “The Hammer” then I feel sorry for you. It is the most complete deli sandwich I have had. Gary is a great guy to talk to and his dad makes all off their Mozzarella fresh each morning. I am very happy I work nearby.

Arthur Avenue Deli is the kind of high quality, family run store that almost doesn’t exist anymore. They have the best Parmesan Reggiano that I know of at a highly reasonable price. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and always helpful. I’m not a real connoisseur of Italian food, but even I can tell this is the real deal! Come shop at Arthur Avenue Deli. You won’t be disappointed, and you’ll be supporting the kind of quality business that we need to hold onto!

All their in-store made food is excellent and their hand-made mozzarella is beyond compare with anything else available in Putnam County. My son even begs me to bring some of it when I visit him in Manhattan, and he’s walking distance from Little Italy.

The fact they charge more for a simple Carmel special is ridiculous. It was so crazy expensive compared to the other sandwiches that have more ingredients that I vowed never to come back here. Used to come here all the time since high school years ago. But they take advantage of you. This is a disgrace to the old man, RIP.

A classic deli. A boars head ham and swiss sandwich for lunch was great. Just a bit pricy though @ $10.oo . I don’t mind paying that when it’s good …. and it was!

Had roast beef and swiss. Sandwich was decent but for $7.50 I thought there would be more meat. Not very good variety of drinks.
