The food was not bad or gross BUT the queso is melted Velveeta (not queso), if I would have known that before ordering, I would have NOT ordered the ‘queso’. The fajita’s were good but the beans were out of a can. You could taste the pinto canned beans. Was hoping for actual cooked beans.

Driving through town we needed to stop. Hungry, thirsty, and we took a chance. What a gem of a restaurant!! The food was excellent! The staff was wonderful. Restrooms were clean. All around a great choice.

Very good restaurant. Delicious food. Super friendly staff. They seemed very short staffed, but everyone was working hard, smiling, and being so friendly. We were hungry from a weekend of camping, so forgot to take a picture. Hubby ordered the grilled enchiladas. I ordered the grilled chili relleno. Both were great! The charro beans are FABULOUS. If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend Arquitos.

Driving through Vernon, we wanted to find a local Mexican Restaurant and happy we found Arcos! Our waitress was excellent, (do not remember her name) and the entire wait staff helped all the tables… Now, most importantly the food…

Just traveling thru, saw other good reviews about Arquitos & very glad we stopped! Fish tacos, charro beans, chicken chimichanga, guacamole & chips salsa were all very good. Margarita YUMM the waitress very friendly & professional. She knows the menu by heat!! Overall 5 stars!!

Pretty good Mexican food place in town. There aren’t very many options around so it’s nice that this one is good. Friendly staff with fast service.

Ordered the arquitos grilled chicken. Was supposed to be a chicken breast on rice with queso on top. Chicken was a chicken breast but they cut the edges off to make it a rectangle shape! If the memo says chicken breast on rice I expected the whole chicken breast. The queso is melted velveeta cheese. Rice and beans were out of a can and just didn’t taste right.

They don’t close until 9. Me and my family decide we were gonna go around 8:45 and yes I know it’s closer to closing but we walk in at 8:45, there are still people dinning and we’re told they closed, but their sign out front was on with the words OPEN! I asked to talk to the manager and stood there for 10 minutes waiting for the manager to come to the front and the waitress continued to tell me manager was coming and they never showed up. Normally arcos it great but it seems the last few times I’ve gone the service has started lacking.
