Visited 3/7/22 order the wing meal and seafood platter. All was great. Food is made from scratch. They have a space where you can rent. Place was clean, friendly staff, waitress Kira had a lot of patience with us. Our first time.

I did the Meatloaf Mac and cheese and collard greens and I must say I was a little disappointed. The collard greens were pretty good once I got more towards the bottom of the bowl maybe because there was more juice which added to the flavor. The mac wasn’t the best but it was ok. The meatloaf was the most disappointing compared to others I’ve had at other places. It was very bland as if it needed a bit more seasoning. I won’t cancel this place out just yet before trying their chicken. I heard that’s the go to here. Meatloaf is a tough dish to make. But for the price I expected better.

This is the best soul food I have ever eaten. Everything was fresh, hot and seasoned to perfection. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was friendly. One of the owners came to our table and introduced herself and asked how everything was. She even sang happy birthday to me. This is a great place to bring the family. I will be returning soon.

We stopped here after a full day at Kings Dominion. Our group of 6 was welcomed in after being hit with long waits at the major franchise places. This food experience was AMAZING! Everything tasted incredible. My family enjoyed everything. The best Spoon Bread I have ever had, ever! I got the Turkey Wings special. Fall on the floor good. We will be back here again.

Friday 5/26/23. The greeting when we arrived into the restaurant was warm and sincere. The atmosphere made us think we were eating in our own home but the food, wow, I had one of the BEST catfish dinners I ever had. My table shared between the catfish, baked & fried chicken and what more can I say, our plates were clean. Good choice of sides too. Cooked to order, we ended up taking an additional 2 fish sandwiches home & a smothered turkey wing dinner! Good down home cooking. Try it!!!!!

This was our first time coming. The friendliness and customer service was excellent! The owner Kim served us and she was so nice, that she felt like a sister to us. The food was phenomenal!! Check out my photos. We had cran cakes, spoonbread, spare ribs, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, and yams. All were good. I’m telling you, I’m bringing my entire family back the next time I’m up here. Yall enjoy!
