Food is good. I ordered 2 meals online for pick up, one for me and one to bring to a friend, they combined both meals into one takeout container which actually gave me less food than I ordered. I also had to go home to separate the food to bring to my friend which was pretty inconvenient.

If you like your brisket dry and your French fries undercooked, this is the place. The chips are too seasoned and the tacos barely have any meat on them. It did not taste awful but there was no memorable flavors. Excellent service though!

I went in since I noticed it is a fairly new place that is not far from my home, so I figured it was worth trying. I ordered a chicken burrito for about $14 and the burrito was huge and tasted great. The only down side was the facility felt like it was just thrown together. It wasn’t dirty or anything, just the coolers had boxes in them with random stuff and the counter area had a lot of clutter without to show the restaurant as appealing. So in all the food was great but the facility could be improved a bit.

Favorite takeaway! This hole in the wall serves addictively tasty grub, putting its own cheesy Wisconsin spin on Mexican standards (less cheesy options are certainly available, but why? ) Arod has to be the hardest-working restaurateur in Madison, but quality of cooking is consistent. The tortillas, beans, rice, all seem to be homemade. Give it a try!

I wanted so bad to like this place. Tonight my boyfriend and I got their food from a recommendation from a coworker of his. I wanted the low carb taco salad with extra hot sauce and my boyfriend got a birria quesadilla with extra sauce. My boyfriend said when he went to pick up the order he was missing half the order and it was a bit of an ordeal to figure out what was going on. We chalked it up to it being Cinco de Mayo and everyone wanting Mexican food. When we opened the food, though, we were missing both of our extra sauces ordered, and my taco salad more resembled a loaded nachos situation. There was no lettuce and the extra jalapeños I asked for were also missing. It was all chips, shrimp, and onion/sour cream/cilantro toppings. Was it still good? Yes. But it wasn’t what I had been hoping when I chose to get a salad. Our chips and salsa were also pretty burned and didn’t really give a good impression for the chili lime flavor I had expected. My boyfriend said his meal was incredible and he’d order there again. I’m hoping this was just a fluke. I’ll try again, but maybe next time I’ll just commit to get the traditional fare instead.

We recently ordered from Arod’s for the first time. We’ll definitely be going back. The quality of the food is very high and the prices are reasonable. We had tacos, quesadilla, and enchiladas. All were very good, but the items with brisket stood above. Great brisket! The service was fast and friendly. The decor is basic, but I’m guessing this is mostly a take out place. Arod’s is a great addition to the local restaurant scene. Go!
