My girlfriend and I were craving breakfast, we usually go to the union st location but we were in Salem so decided to stop at the Salem one. We walked in and seated ourselves. We patiently waited for a server. As we were waiting 2 females walked in. They weren’t even properly settled in when a waiter properly greeted them, acknowledged them, and ask for a drink order. I stared at the waiter and made a face she put her finger up and told me to wait. My girlfriend and I walked out. It’s really unfortunate that we experienced such poor customer service. I am a brown skin Dominican woman (look more American than Dominican) accompanied by my girlfriend. Maybe that had something to do with it.

A friend suggested coming here again for breakfast and I was eager to agree! I had an omelette with spinach and feta. They happily accommodated my request for black olives to be added. My friend had a huge pancake and an egg over easy. Service is prompt, food is served hot and we’ve never been rushed out! Makes for a relaxing breakfast out!

Best breakfast spot in the area! Wife and I come here almost every weekend as it’s so good. Food is incredible and the staff is one of the best in the business. Can get crowded on weekends but if you are a group of 2, it’s pretty easy to walk up to the bar and get seated. Portions are large!

The manager was very rude and disrespectful! I brought in my fresh squeezed lemonade with me because I only drink fresh fruit or water. I didn’t notice the sign going in and never have as I’ve been going there since they opened. He proceeded to be sarcastic with me after I asked if he could make an exception this time since they don’t serve any fresh squeezed juices.. he continued to say no in rude way while asking the sarcastic question “would u bring a beer to a bar!?”. Which is a very unintelligent comparison. Anyway, I wouldn’t recommend anyone go there to be treated like that after years of spending hard earned money with ANY businesses!

April’s II in Salem, MA is by far my favorite, go to place! It’s a clean, friendly atmosphere, with plenty of FREE parking, which is highly unusual in Salem. The owners, Maria & Julio, treat the regulars like extended family & if you’re lucky enough, on any given day, their lovely daughter, April might be there, to grace you with her presence. April’s II food is top notch, in quality, quantity & presentation. Many of the recipes are prepared fresh, by Julio, himself… such as potato salad, coleslaw, salad dressings & many more. The kitchen staff is consistent in their cooking methods & flavors. I highly recommend the April’s Salad w/Salmon, Eggs Benny, Monfongo Chicken Broccoli Ziti or the Fried Haddock Sandwich on a nice fresh brioche roll. Also, you will hardly ever, find the wait staff, standing idol. They’re always cleaning or serving & always with a smile. Don’t forget to check out their chalkboard SPECIALS… & by the way, April’s II coffee is delicious, hot or cold. You won’t be sorry.

I’m stuff I got a Western omelet breakfast and a single blueberrie pancake . The food is always fresh and cooked perfectly. The pancake was nice and fluffy and was the size of my head not joking their pancakes are huge.

The menu selection was better than I expected. Their participation in a dining rewards program helped me decide to try it out for the first time. The food was tasty and good quality. My fellow diners felt the portions were a little on the small side. But overall, we liked it.

Amazing service, handled my child’s allergy with care and double checked everything is okay for them to eat. Went above and beyond to read the ingredients. Even though it was busy they were extremely attentive and ensured everything was good. I will definitely be back!
