Our favorite Italian restaurant. We live out of state but come here every time we’re in town. Food is fresh, everything is made from scratch and just delicious. Service is great. We’ve had Justin for service last few times and he does a great job.

really wanted to like this place–that didn’t happen; first thought, decent atmosphere; onto the bar–an at best average cosmopolitan, 15 dollars, at a neighborhood west haven restaurant–ok, fine; then the bread, just ok, no oil for dipping into; nondescript salad, mainly lettuce, a few olives, underseasoned dressing; ok, still hope; entree, veal, a good barometer of an italian restaurant; in this case, less than top shelf meat mercilessly pounded to make tender, but at the same time creating a grainy texture..ugh…combined with a scant, flavorless sauce, and disappointment enters the scene; the pasta, alot but rubbery, with not enough garlic and oil to make it tasteful; onto dessert–rice pudding decent, but others bemoaned the “old tasting” cheesecake…a nice touch would have been to have the owner or manager to stop by the table…nope…seeing the high ratings, this appears a minority opinion, yet an honest one…

We absolutely love Apps! The bar and eating area are very nice and relaxing. The food is always fantastic! The hostess and servers are all super nice and accommodating. The best place to go when you want to eat and relax. We even had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding! Outstanding

I was really disappointed tonight 3/8/23 the hostess/so called manager berated an employee with such a foul mouth. No one deserves to be called a moron over soup that spilled in a bag and was merely an accident. Shame on restaurant that sees nothing wrong with this behavior.
