So many people recommended this restaurant (really the whole Apple Barn campus) & I’m so glad we went! If you like home cooking, this is the place for you! Complimentary apple fritters with apple butter & Apple Juleps are provided when you are seated. Variety of entrees, side dishes & desserts. My husband and I both had the sampler with fried chicken,

We tried this restaurant based upon personal recommendations. It’s an old house with many rooms. Very nostalgic. You start off with apple fritters & apple butter plus a small glass of mixed juice- apple, orange and pineapple. Both were good. My husband ordered the chicken and dumplings with a side of mashed potatoes and applesauce. I had the chicken pot pie with a side of mashed potatoes and green beans. He started off with the broccoli cheddar soup, which he said it was very good. And I had a mini wedge salad with the onion vinegar at which was tasty. The chicken and dumplings were loaded with chicken. He said it was very good. My chicken pot pie was a little less desirable. The crust on the outside was nice and flaky and light brown but the middle of the crust was still under baked and the other underside and the filling was mostly potatoes and peas. I had two carrot slices, and maybe a teaspoon of shredded chicken. There was no chicken to be had in this chicken pot pie, although it was very tasty, I was missing the chicken we would definitely go back. I just would never order the chicken pot pie again. The green beans lay soaked in a bowl of water, should have been drained more.

The best southnern food anywhere. what a treat it was to bring my wife and son here. the food was amazing. Server was on point. Great place to come. plenty of things to do and see on the property. To all you out of town folk that have not eaten true southern food keep your negative comments to yourself. There isn’t one thing wrong with this place. So go to fast food and eat there!!!!

Stopped for lunch and had generous portions for the price ($16 or so). Greeted with an Applewood Julip drink and a fried apple treat. Service was top notch, food was delicious and much cleaner than last visit. Entry/exit could be closer for those with accessibility needs.

We love the Apple Barn! Only waited 15-20 minutes for a table, food was delicious, & our waitress was very friendly and attentive! You can’t beat the apple fritters with apple butter, they are SO good! Definitely worth going here if you’re in the Pigeon Forge area!

I had the most delightful dining experience at Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff, and the charming rustic atmosphere transported me to a cozy farmhouse setting. The attention to detail in the decor added to the overall ambiance and made me feel right at home.

Finally tried this place after years and years of driving by! Absolutely worth every penny and so much bang for your buck! It’s situated right there at The Apple Barn and we were able to enjoy dinner by a window watching the sunset. It wasn’t crowded at all and we were in and out in 30 minutes! Only downside is that our server did make us feel incredibly rushed to eat and leave, even when our bill was handed to us, she proceeded to hover over us while we were boxing up for us to pay the bill, and even when she brought it back, continued to stay there and wait until we tipped and left. Definitely would have liked to have sat and talked with our family visiting for 5-10 minutes longer, but it didn’t seem like an options. Otherwise, highly recommend!! The fritters with the apple butter while you wait is so worth it!

Ordered off the Gluten free menu and while the food was good, there were no prices. Would be nice to know. Breaded chicken was on my wife’s salad instead of grilled. The waitress brought out the grilled chicken but by the time the kitchen fixed the order she was just about done with her salad. Over all, nice place, very nice people, good food. Would go back and try again.
