The food very disappointing, personnel didn’t keep track what was available for dinner. Order full rack, advised 1/2 hour after order placed by manager they were out of ribs. Ordered rib eye then but delivered NY steak, mashed potatoes looked half old batch and new batch, coleslaw had more carrots than cabbage very disappointing, personnel was pleasant but not trained properly. Brought my husband’s salad after twenty minutes of ordering, then when brought his steak had his broccoli on dish took over ten minutes to get his coleslaw. Waiter said it wasn’t on shelf with meat plate yet, cooks were not on top of it making waiters looking incompetent. The waiter should of waited for the coleslaw and not serve separately, he was done with most of his meal by time I received my dinner.

Wow. We have been to this Applebee’s in Waverly before, and it was better than any others that we had been to. This time was a hanous experience. From the moment you walk in, it was quiet for a Saturday lunch. Your feet stuck to the floor and made weird noises. It smelled horrendous, which should have been my indication to leave. Nope, our group stayed, and had one of the worst meals we’ve ever paid for. I was told not to say anything, and respected the people’s wishes that were with us, but wow. It was beyond bad. One person had nachos, which had very little meat or toppings. One had the bourbon burger, and didn’t finish it, said it tasted bad. 3 of us had the chicken Waltons, which is one of our favorites. They were dry, meat was chewy and tasteless. We also had a appetizer trio, which the boneless wings didn’t taste right, mozzarella sticks were sub-par. Only the artichoke spinach dip was good. I am so disappointed, and it was expensive. And the kicker is that 4 of the 6 of us had toilet issues the next day, just to add insult to injury.

Food not bad, ordered a drink with 2 shots, did not taste like any alcohol, I asked waitress if there was 2 shots put in cause usually they come with extra shot with drink. She said she already added it in, which I have might doubts. Will not eat there in Waverly Ia again.

i am not usually one to complain, and i also typically am incredibly lenient with customer service workers as i have been in the industry for many years. however this was an exception. immediately upon arrival the atmosphere was unwelcoming and the place smelled like stale booze and grease. we were sat at a dirty table and told the waiter would he with us. when he finally decided to come over we got no greeting or anything, he basically just stared at us. we ordered an appetizer and when i came out he allowed it to sit in the kitchen window for 15 minutes while he chatted up the kitchen staff. when he finally gave it to us he just plopped it down and walked away. the rest of the experience was basically him avoiding checking on us and him taking way too long to ask if we needed a box or bill or anything. i will say he gave us water refills, i’ll give him that much haha. waste of time and money.

Had Alyssa C as a server tonight and had the most amazing service in a long time! She was friendly, kept checking in on us and had an overall amazing personality. Food was good but service was the best! 10/10 stop by and ask for her section I bet you won’t leave without full tummy’s and smiles for days!

We went to Applebee’s on Fundraiser night. The wait staff gave us all menus even though I told them we were there specifically for the fundraiser. (It is required that you order off the fundraiser menu not the regular menu if you want your purchase to benefit the designated charity) There were flies that we had to continually swat away while trying to have our meal. I gave the atmosphere 3 stars due to personal preference. I don’t like loud places with an overabundance of tvs. I’d rather be able to interact with the individuals at my table. (Crazy, I know!) I had the Three Cheese Penne Alfredo and chicken. It’s always very good.

Best Applebee’s I have ever been to. My son got to go with my wife and I last night before bed. My son had never been to Applebee’s before. He loved the food and complimented how good the mashed potatoes were. The food was cooked to perfection. I got the four cheese Mac and cheese with the bourbon chicken I think it was the kind of chicken. Either way it was soooo good. I usually don’t get Mac and Cheese because I’m picky when it comes to that but yall changed my mind. Thank you so much. Oh before I forget, the staff was amazing and very accommodating for my service dog and I. I am definitely recommending my friends and family go to yalls location. It was an amazing experience.❤️
