Great food, great price, friendly staff and nice variety of gifts from around Central America. My wife and I had the pollo frito con tajadas, and a papusa con loroco. Sauce was amazing, chicken was nice and crispy, and the vegetables were fresh.

Thanks be to God for all HE provides for us each and every day! I am so blessed to have been lead to this place and met all the wonderful staff and owners. From the youngest to the oldest they all were super! The food was stupendous! I tried the pupusas with the pickled cabbage(curtido) and salsa, they were on point as I remember from my younger years, I was taken back! It was an honor and a blessing. I shall continue trying and enjoying new dishes as I venture into waco more regularly and share God’s truth with these wonderful people Gid has put in my life.

I visited yesterday for the first time with my son. I ordered a baleada especial which is a big, fresh made, fluffy flour tortilla with refried beans, cheese and crema (mantequilla hondureña I think) and the especial part was bite sized chunks of fried pork. Delicious and filling, I could just barely finish it. I ordered fried ripe plantains and a cheese & chicharrón pupusa for my son. While there a group came in having pre-ordered tajadas, which are sliced fried green bananas topped with usually your choice of meat, cabbage, curtido and sauce. They looked and smelled incredible. I’ll order that next time, probably for my son and I to split, it was a big plate of food. Service was super friendly and kind. We’ll return for sure. Can’t wait for my son to try the tamales, one of his favorites but it’s hard to find non spicy ones for him sometimes. They have chicken and I think fresh corn tamales which are a special treat.

Stopped by here after hours just to check out open and closing times. The owner comes out and asks if she can help.

My Opinion
Very disappointing. Pupusas had only a small hint of cheese flavor, cabbage mix was very bland and red sauce was basically watered down hot sauce. Would be alot cheaper to a few shreds of cheese in a corn tortilla witj hot sauce it would taste the same.

We’ve eaten pupusas all over the country and these are hands down the best we’ve had! They’re so flavorful with the curtido and salsa.
