We enjoyed brunch here last weekend. Before we arrived we registered through the online waitlist and it was nearly accurate for timing. We chose to sit outside with our group and it was nice in the shade. Service was attentive and friendly. The food was good except for a few items missed on the first go which arrived later. This is a good brunch option in town.

The atmosphere was nice. It took us a while to get seated, and the restaurant wasn’t super busy. I got to the table and ordered an omelette, and unfortunately it took 3 times for the kitchen to get my order right. The server also could have been friendly. I’m sure he was frustrated with my orders not coming out correctly, but it wasn’t my fault. Hopefully things will get better since they just recently opened, because the food was good once I got the correct order.

Super long wait but spent my time drooling over the menu, trying to decide what to get! I wound up with the baconrizo omelet. Hands down the best omelet I’ve ever had! I got the home potatoes which were pretty mediocre but everything else surpassed the mediocrity that it was. Hubby had the lobster and brie omelet. He enjoyed it but thought the brie was a little too much. To each his own. We also had a side of the lemon blueberry pancakes. They were scrumptious! Even the little English muffin was better than usual. Hands down, will return!

I ordered “EGGS BLACKSTONE BENEDICT”, which were grilled red tomato slices on an English muffin, topped with poached eggs, hollandaise, chopped bacon and green onions. Can choose a side of grits or potatoes (I chose grits). While the taste was average, falling neither into the exceptional nor terrible category, the experience was overshadowed by the prolonged wait and slow service. Considering these factors, I might consider exploring alternative brunch choices in Athens instead of returning.

Another Broken Egg was worth the wait. The staff is phenomenal! The food is to die for! Never once was I in need of a refill, my coffee and water was catered to multiple times. The Bourbon Street pancakes are delicious! The Chicken and Waffles are amazing! Definitely will be going back. Downside, which could be a saving grace in their opening days, they need more parking. Best way to ensure you get a table is putting in a wait online before heading there. We waited for a party of 2 for about 15 minutes before being seated.

Surprised at the delicious, crispy biscuit. We sat at the bar because tables were full. Great beverage selection for a brunch spot. It was about 10am on a Friday. Lovely space. The main drawback is the parking. Small, odd lot serves several businesses.

Opening day in Athens was very busy. Even so Patrick and staff were great. Their coffee and beignets reminded me of New Orleans. And their Brunch menu Fantastic. So glad to have them in the neighborhood.

After a week or so of being open, it seems like they have things worked out. They were on a 30 to 45 min wait when we arrived, but there were fortunately spots at the bar open. The service was great. The drinks were amazing, and the food was delicious! We didn’t have to wait any longer than expected to get our food either. We took an order of beignets to go and will be back again soon.

We just left here. We came in and were seated right away, which was fine. Unfortunately, 15 minutes after being seated we still had not even had a waitress stop by to take our drink order. We notified the hostess of this fact, and she apologized and said someone would be right with us. Another 10 minutes, and NOTHING! We left. No one even noticed as we walked out. Not sure we’ll be back.

Enjoy this stand alone Cafe. New no historic vibe as Another Broken Egg in Charleston, but the food was just as good.
