I always eat there but yesterday I got the smother chicken with Mac and cheese and there wasn’t any vegetable so I got dressing. My dressing was gritty I can’t for the life of me understand that because it is usually good. The Mac and cheese was terrible. It had some type of after taste. It tasted old. Their Mac and cheese is always good but not yesterday. I feel that they just gave me anything and just took my money. The chicken was good. So now I have to ask to taste the sides before ordering. Because I paid for something that I could not eat and why was that dressing so gritty. I don’t understand that

This was my second time placing an order. The first time I got the veggie plate and it was excellent. Yesterday I got the wing dinner. The wing weren’t clean and they had hair and feathers on them, they weren’t seasoned, the sweet potatoes weren’t done and tasted like a whole bottle of lemon flavoring was poured on nor where greens good the only thing that was worth eating was the mac n cheese.. If the cook didn’t come in then you should have closed. I will not be coming back nor will any of the people I referred .

I got the veggie plate with dressing and Mac and cheese. Everything was awesome. I did get charged extra for getting beef gravy on my dressing which was unexpected but overall I would return. I suggest you call your order ahead because it can get very bust in there!! But that just a consequence of great food!

I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AS I HAVE WITH THIS RESTAURANT. ON 4/24/23 I placed an online order with payment. Someone from the restaurant called back to say that they would be closing soon. I asked the store manager to please refund my money, and he gave me the runaround and refused. I called him several times and he sent my calls to VM and ignored my messages. I will be contacting my bank to reverse these charges immediately. Anyone reading this review, you have been warned of this store’s conduct. Order at your own risk! It only had one star on this review because it wouldn’t let me post otherwise. I absolutely give this restaurant a 0! Poor service, just flat-out ghetto and unprofessional!

I ordered from UberEATS and I regret ordering thru them and also from Angie’s Soul Cafe. The food was not worth the price and the portions are to small for what you pay. The food use to be good but now it’s disgusting. This was a total waste of time money. I would never order from them again. I ordered baked chicken with dressing and you get one side and I ordered a side of yams and I guess they forgot the cornbread everything wasso nasty I guess the garbage can enjoy the food better than me . I always wanted to try this place.The Mac and cheese wasn’t seasoned.The yams were not sweet and needed to stay in the oven a little longer.
