The motto of Angelo’s is “The Best Thin Crust Pizza” and I have to agree 100% – It is the best thin crust pizza I have ever had. I call it a cracker crust but not sure if that’s what it is really called. The sausage on it is extremely delicious as well. I am familiar that Angelo’s has been in DG since 1959 as grew up in DG and it was a favorite date night after the Tivoli in the 60s when it was located near the tracks. Haven’t been there in years so when I saw the nice location, and building thought I would stop. Still great taste! I would have given it 5 stars but was a little surprised that inside the restaurant you had to go up to the counter and order your own. With such a nice building and room with lots of tables, it would have been so much nicer to have regular servers to take your order, serve it, maybe have a little more ambiance such as background music or dimmer lighting. I heard it’s been hard to get servers after Covid so maybe that’s why (don’t know). However I can’t say more about the 5 star thin crust pizza and the lady working the counter who brought it to our table and made our visit really friendly and nice. We also ordered spaghetti and meatballs and the meatballs were very good as well.

Pizza was okay, a little on the pricer side for ultra thin crust . It looked great but on first bite it did not wow me like Als pizza, Pappas , or Doughdaddy. I didnt want to stop eating those and this one just didnt do it for me. Staff was very friendly and attentive but will probably not try again and give Dans a try next. It does reheat well but still nothing special

Very tasty Thin Crust Pizza. The staff was friendly and attentive even though they were extremely busy. The Sauce was also very good and the crust had good crispiness! I’m sure we’ll be ordering from here again!

Placed an order over the phone. Showed up in time for pick up, 1 hour after the order was placed. Single huge waiting line for combined pick up and placing orders. Waited over 40 mins. Finally my turn. But they did not have my order. They said about an hour or more for a pizza. I left, and witnessed staff yelling at each other, this was very bad. This place was much better overall a couple of years ago. Not going there anymore.

We found this gem on accident coming home from a Cubs game. From all the pizza places I’ve tried so far, this is my favorite pizza. The staff here is so friendly and it’s a small, family owned business. I highly recommend giving Angelo’s a try!

Love the pizza here. Some of the best sausage around, which i normally don’t order. Pepperoni pizza also excellent. Wish we lived closer so we could do carryout. As it is, it’s worth the drive.

Went in on a Friday evening. The experience was great. The restaurant is perfectly located next to a parking garage. The restaurant has a very family and friendly vibe to it. Perfect for friends and family to go and dine in. Pizza tasted very good. Sauce and cheese complimented each other well. The only thing I’ve got to say space is limited inside, in summer there’s outdoor seating though. If your in the area highly recommend to stop by and try.

Just moved our Business to Downers Grove and was surprised when the owner himself showed up to deliver the pizza welcoming us to Downer Grove. WOW! Says a lot about this place. But, you don’t care about that lol I’m sure, THE PIZZA IS AMAZING!!!! Highly recommend this place and will be ordering weekly. If you haven’t already tried this place, make sure you do you will not regret it. Thanks to everyone.
