I was on a work trip with a couple of coworkers and we decided to head over to Andrene’s for dinner. Something told me this was going to be good from previous reviews. I ordered the oxtail and goat combo, rice & peas and cabbage, coco bread and a beef patty. Wow! Oxtail and goat fell off the bone. Rice and peas could not have been better. But the cabbage, I think that was my favorite. The texture was at the point where it just finished cooking and yet had a slight crispness to it, not overcooked where it can get mushy. Portions were plentiful. Service with a smile is always nice too! They had slices of cake for dessert but there was no way I could have even attempted it.

Food was amazing! Fall of the bone oxtail, cheesy macaroni pie, cooked to perfect patties and the drink options were the best pairings. Upon entering you feel a vibe very reminiscent of the caribbean, good music, and even better customer service. My husband & I enjoyed our food and service so much.

This stuff is gee oh oh dee GOOD. Visiting from out of town and Andrene’s was close by, but dang if I wouldn’t come here all the time if I lived in DC. Can’t speak to the service and atmosphere because my boyfriend was the one who picked it up, but food alone gets an 11/10. I got the stewed chicken with white rice and cabbage (pictured) and my boyfriend got the curry goat (he ate it all before I got a photo that’s how good it was).

This is a neighborhood staple, consistently serves great tasting food, and has great customer service! I love great service. I’m a huge stickler for it. Owner and staff there are phenomenal. Haven’t tried everything, but I love the curry chicken as well as the oxtail. My daughter loves the red velvet. Sometimes we go just for that!

My favorite Jamaican restaurant in DC. The fried snapper escovitch is undefeated. The wings fall apart wonderfully (wish they would combine the jerk sauce and BBQ sauce on the wings). Stew chicken, curry shrimp, and jerk chicken are my favorite dishes I continually reorder, with a side of coco bread. I need to make it for Jamaican breakfast one Friday morning .

Came here for lunch after my wife and I attended a workshop. Since we’re not from the area this place was the right choice. We ordered a (sm)curry chicken and a (sm) jerk chicken. Food was so good, especially with the redbean rice and cabbage and then topped with the plantains. Portions were great even for a small size. Cashier was very friendly and greeted us and everyone else that came in. All the flavors were blended very well and sat happily. Not finger licking good, bone sucking, platter emptying good. Wife and I left very happy. Just wish there was one at home.

Beautiful staff. My visit was like I went home for holiday, even the engagement with other customers.

I looked up lunch specials near me and Adrian’s popped up! I went and it is a reasonable price for the lunch special. I chose black stew chicken. Deportions ended up Very hearty and the food was delicious! Good job

We had the barbecue chicken wings, oxtail and goat. Everything was absolutely delicious. Chicken wings were falling off the bone, the barbecue sauce on them tasted sweet Smokey and complex and not just sweet. The oxtail and goat were also tender and delicious. The customer service was warm and wonderful. I plan on coming here a lot !
