Authentic Japanese food – ma and pa restaurant. Many locals consider this the best Japanese restaurant in the greater Cincinnati area. The sushi is slightly expensive and would be a good idea for a celebration of some kind. There are cheaper options such as the udon or curry as well.

Wow. 10/10. I have eaten at every sushi restaurant in the Cincy area and this place takes the cake! Everything was so fresh! Service was perfect, it was fun to sit at the bar and chat with the guys behind the magic! I can never eat at another sushi restaurant except Ando!

Amazing food, horrible service. On Valentine’s night, my husband and I were constantly being handed off between different waiters who deigned to give us their attention. At one point we went 30 minutes without service. The owner came and refilled waters at an adjacent table while we sat expectantly with empty glasses. I had been looking forward to going here for a while, so this was a disappointing experience. Despite this, the food was quite delicious.

Really Good Japanese place. The Udon (thick Japanese noodles) are amazingly tasteful and yummy, so highly recommended. I remove one star because the sushi rolls were just ok (even though we ordered the special ones).

The fish here is incredibly fresh. To our surprise the cooked food from the kitchen was on par with the amazing sushi. I can’t believe it took us so long to dine here but we plan to frequent the spot as much as we can afford! A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Our server, Jake, was extremely knowledgeable and answered any and every question we had while also making us laugh. Run don’t walk to this amazing restaurant.

We used to frequent Ando at the old location, and were excited to try the new location. We were very happy with our experience. The owners are so sweet. Fresh fish and homemade specials, you can’t go wrong. Desserts are one of a kind as well. If you are looking for a REAL Japanese cuisine/culture experience please give Ando your time and business!

The best Japanese restaurant in Greater Cincinnati for a good reason — it has the freshest fish you will ever find in the region, a variety of imported fish, seasonal specials from different parts of Japan. Save some room for dessert — they have the best homemade desserts — whether traditional or fusion, eg matcha cheesecake and Okinawan brown sugar ice cream. It is expensive but well worth every cent for that special evening! It gets busy during the dinner rush – reservations are highly recommended!
